Ok, I can do deer flies, black flies (almost), but it's that time of the summer when the dive-bombing horse flies are about. Yuck. I don't even have the fun of horses to balance it out!

procrastinating

OK, the post about horse flies was a way to further postpone getting down to work yesterday.

But I realized last night that these aren't normal horse flies. They are almost 1 1/2 - 3/4" in length and 1/2 - 3/4" in width. They're scary big.

I really will get to back to work now.

Maybe they're hummingbirds.

ac:

You may be right. But instead of seeking out nectar, they just want to bounce off my skull.

Gangsta-hummers?

Well, they migrate to Mexico every year, maybe they're still drunk off of tequila.

Or maybe you have a sweet head!

Thank God I've packed on a few extra pounds this summer. They may have to double up to take off with me.
