stupid question...real quick

What does it mean if someone types "sic" in their posts?

I know it is probably something real easy, but, I haven't figured it out.

It's used to indicate that a quoted line or passage is as it originally appeared, errors and all (typically spelling errors).

No such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers.:b
