Have you submitted to flashquake? They send editor's comments, if you let them. Pretty enlightening. The closest I've come with them is a 'maybe' from one editor, but she left really nice comments on the tone of the piece and said the setting was intriguing. Of course, the other editor "NO" had less kind things to say, but they both were right, in retrospect.
You've passed the threshold now. Your next rejection won't sting so bad, then you'll start getting ones that have little handwritten notes, then when you get your first acceptance, you'll have to read it a couple of times, thinking, "Did I read that right?"
