He sung the body electric while the lilacs bloomed, then died of a broken heart.

for you, pen, exactly 26 words.

outlaw freethinker,
american king of free verse;
great emancipator from the
shackles of european formalism.
hated by many in his time,
now read 'round the world.

Well, *I* like Walt Whitman a great deal, at any rate.

So? I like you.

Holla!

lol...

Is there a point?

I love my gay friends.

I'm more concerned with his intelligence, humor and common sense quotient or CSQ.

if you look at the face and beyond the beard, the best casting would be alec baldwin. though the young gene hackman, as he appeared in 'young frankenstein' could have pulled it off.

when I think of Uncle Walt I think of this: (thrilly should know this, it's from a movie and this part was inspired by looking at a picture of walt.)

I close my eyes, and this image floats beside me.
A sweaty-toothed madman with a stare that pounds my brain.
His hands reach out and choke me.
And all the time he's mumbling.
Mumbling truth... Truth's like a blanket that always leaves your feet cold.
You push it, stretch it, it'll never be enough. You kick at it, beat it, it will never cover any of us. From the moment we enter crying to the moment we leave dying, it will cover just your head as you wail and cry and scream!

It must be a Pre-1970 movie.
