So anyone know if this is a good market, as far as adults are concerned? There doesn't seem to be as much interest in the natural world as there used to be.

I copied/pasted that from the market thread above so you may have already seen it. You might also try googling your state's name (assuming you're in the States) and look for publications such as the various electric coop magazines. Many of them run nature pieces.
Recently I pitched and sold a story on how to make a butterfly feeder to my local-but-state-wide electric coop magazine. They took the article and bought pictures, too!
