Do any of you have a myspace account?

My wife has one, and she uses it to reconnect with a great many high school friends. I get a kick out of people like the wonderful, brilliant Thea Gilmore who have an account. I enjoy that very much.

That said, there's something about it that really irritates me. I don't know what it is, but it falls in the same category as World of Warcraft and AOL chat rooms for me....

I don't have one, and I don't really see the point of them.

The one good thing about it is that it provides some entertainment value. The sheer volume of pretend-suicidal, wannabe bisexual, white belt wearing emo kids who go on and on about how much everything sucks and how much they hate the world, is quite amusing at times.

Myspace is fun in an addicting sort of way. Joining the rat-race to see how many friends, messages, and comments you can get. A fresh breath of e-air.

Man, you just described 95% of the internet and 98% of why I think very little of quite a lot of people. Dennis Leary and I, we're in agreement on these kids.

isn't that why most of us come to myspace, though? it's nice knowing you're not alone.

how long have you been on myspace?

i usually go there once a day or so to check my account and remind myself of my "social life". people sending me semi-considerate messages of "wazzup" and 'hows it goin?".

it seems i stay in the myspace game for 2 main reasons
1- it's nice to have a secret love that i can always complain about and
2- it helps to break out of my bitter writing shell, reminds me that there are people out there who's day wouldnt be crushed if i came to say hi to them

I suppose we could sharpen them... My dad has an angry sand grinder that we used on our computer after it crashed it's finale.

Oh, silly, you don't have to be ashamed of eating man flesh. We've all done it from time to time. Speaking of which, I believe I have something I need to pop in the microwave...

I have one that's used largely for networking my music.
