Weird thing is, he did the exact same "hello" post this same day on another forum where I'm a member. That forum had nothing to do with writing whatsoever.

Edited to add: Things get even wierder. I just did a Google search on his name. The results speak for themselves, although I'm not entirely sure what they are saying.

Probably an anagram for a multi-level marketing "opportunity".

Huh? I just did the search minus the "hi-this is" and got more than 49,000 results.

Far as I can see, they're all in the last couple of days.

I phrased that poorly. I did the search as:

"Dev Tej Kohli" -"hi-this is"

So it would only show pages that had the name but did NOT have the phrase "hi-this" anywhere on the page.

Does that make more sense?

Anyway, I still don't get the point. Unless it's some sort of automated spam thing that's going to try to beat forum moderators by establishing itself as an "active member" with some vague, general comments before the real spam comes???

If it's a bot that is designed to sign up on bulletin boards, and if you look at the google hits, it's always the same posts and that on a dozen boards, so I doubt it's anything else but a bot, so if it's designed to do that, I'm sure it's also designed to fill out those spaces that are on practially every forum, like, sex and occupation and stuffs.

I vote for bot.

Because it is taking over the world, one playwright at a time. I mean, if I were going to take over the world, I would start with playwrights. Obviously.
