got this in the mail:

IN accordance with Section 1 of the Road Offenders Act 1988, I hereby give you notice that it is intended to take proceedings against the driver of vehicle registration number ******* for th ealleged offence of EXCESS SPEED - 30 mph (AUTOMATIC CAMERA0) (automatic camera device/speed detection device) travelling at 36 mph on 16/06/2006 in ********** at 23.31 hours.

Yes, yes, I will have to face the magistrate with hanging head and red face for the unforgiveable crime of SPEEDING at 6 mph above the speed limit, on an empty road at 23.31 one night. Please throw eggs at me.
