I'm working on my synopsis. I've been doing it from 1 MC's POV. Is it okay to shift POV in a synopsis to show important events that happen while he is absent? Or just skip those events and bring them up when he is back around?

Not actual synopsis, but for example...

John goes to London.
Mary is in NYC and cheats on him.
John returns.

Leave it like that? Or more like:
John goes to London. Upon arriving home in NYC his friends tell him about Mary's affair.

In God I dwell, especially in Eugene OR
Sat Nam! (Literally "Truth Name"--a Sikh greeting)

In the example you give, the second version sounds better to me, since the first is more confusing and has less emotion.

But it's really going to depend on your ms.

I prefer the 2nd as well! Seems more consistent with your manuscript.
