Anyone have any ideas or input regarding Creative control over things like cover art? Im seeing that it varies from one press to the next, and I was just wondering what any of you have experienced?
I've never done a poetry book, but here are my thoughts as a picture book/early reader author. My vision of the art may not be the best vision. A publisher has more experience in knowing what art will actually help sell whatever book it is. (Though having art you hate on your work might be tough.) I hope that helps.
