I noticed the maximum size for avatars is 80x80. Which I think was the standard at ezboard. I was wondering if the PTB here had ever considered increasing the size limit, maybe to 100x100 or 120x120?

Benefactor members get slightly larger avatars - 100x100, I think. They also get more PM storage - 75 messages instead of 25.

Plus, they get that warm fuzzy feeling of helping the cause!

Yeah I've always felt 25 was a ridiculously low number, but then again who am I to complain?

I'd support AW, but as a minor I don't hold my own bank account or have any money of my own, so you'll have to wait until I become of legal age, because I've been itching to support the site for a long, long time.

The actual dimensions of an avatar isn't an issue. It's the filesize. I believe the maximum on dimensions is more for keeping the board layout properly aligned. The filesize, ie. 14k, is what affects bandwidth.

Are you saying the size of one's avatar is in direct proportion to the size of their ego? So if someone has a really tiny avatar, does that mean they suffer from low self esteem? :tongue

And what would that say about the people with butt avatars?

To paraphrase the dear departed Ronald Reagan:

"Well, Mr. Alleycat... there you go again!"

I won't reply in kind about those with cat avatars. Not so much that I have any restraint, but that I'm outnumbered....
