Out of curiosity--you favorite animal species?

Rats put me on the table top. I guess I'd say cats and dogs equally. Horses are pretty "up there" on my list.

I couldn't choose either . . . there's dogs, horses, birds, bears. . .

If I did have to choose, I might pick the cat family (but I like dogs just as well).

Well, guess if I have to narrow it down I'll go with cats, although I sure like a good dog.

I married mine....for 30 years....found out he was a vapor instead of a loving animal.

If I have to narrow it down to just one, I'd have to say birds.

Do grandchildren count?

Feline. All the rest are just.....animals.

Horses. Then dolphins. I love the big cats too, and snakes.

Goats and geese.

Anything willing to let me hang out and watch for a while.

I have a lot of questions I'd like to have answered, like why is it that all the road-kill squirrels on my street are facing west? Is there a big party they're all headed for when that final car crushes their expectations?

And what are the barn swallows doing at night that makes the clicking sound I hear through the monitoring system? I would guess they're shooting craps, but when I poke my head in the door, they're nowhere to be seen.

Do deer have to go through the fence when there's an open gate three feet away? Is that part of the Deer Code of Ethics?

Where do all the ladybugs come from, and why don't they go back there and leave me alone?

Just so many questions! Every species has a story to tell. It's going to take me some time to find translators, but I want to hear them all.

Why do mice eats soap--what are they thinking? Hmmm, squeaky pine sorbet?

I think if any one of us could fully comprehend squirrel, mice and deer behavior, we could retire happy.
