Don't go rushing off to find something impressive. Just pick up whatever's closest.

Turn to page 59.

Count down 5 lines.

Post the sentence that begins and/or ends on that line and the book/author it came from -- like this:

"Another fan turned up with a stack of Dungannon novels."
Bimbos of the Death Sun by Sharyn McCrumb

cuppa tea, a Bex and a good lie-down – a. 'The Australian remedy for most problems' (Camilla Raab): since the 1950s. A Bex is an Aspro.

Eric Partridge, A Dictionary of Catch Phrases American and British, from the Sixteenth Century to the Present Day.

I typed out the whole entry, not stopping with its first sentence. "A Bex is an Aspro" was too good to miss.

How embarressing

"As with ability score increases, it is the overall character level, not the class level, that determines when a character gets a new feat."

Dungeons and Dragons Player's Handbook version 3.5
by Monte Cook, Jonathan Tweet, and Skip Williams
Edited by Julia Martin and John Rateliff

I'm embarressed that the PH is the closest book to me right now.

Too right!

Bex was a powdered substance to be mixed into, well, tea, I think. It was meant to calm the nerves. Turns out it was addictive -- don't remember exactly what the addictive substance was, but it was something powerful. A generation of drug-addicted housewives was the result.
