Had a friend ask me about this new publisher, so I figured I'd post here:
http://carnationbooks.com/
It's an "independent ebook publishing startup" that's looking for queer original fiction exclusively from fanfic authors.
They seem to be putting their books into Kindle Unlimited, which I don't think I've seen a publisher do before (and it means the books are only available on Amazon). I did check out the preview of their first book, and spotted a number of editing issues, which is unfortunate.
There's no listing of who the folks behind this are, which is always a flag for me. I like knowing the experience of the team behind any publisher.
They do seem to be donating some profits to charity, which is kind.
Thoughts, beyond the standard "watch and wait and see where they are in a year or two" that is generally a good idea for *any* new pub?
