In polishing my query for an adult novel, I am stuck at how to position the three (well reviewed) YA novels in my (distant) past.
1) This is my 4th novel.
2) This is my 4th novel, first for adults.
3) This is my 1st novel.
4) Does it make a difference?

Sounds proper.
Just tell it like it is unless you are not proud of the others.

If they were published by a regular publisher, I'd definitely say that. If they were self-published or never published, I wouldn't say anything about them.
