Love's Song

Walking
A road divided-
Took one right turn
And two lives collided.

Love- Graceful
Knows no boundary-
Sees no beauty
In skin or makeup.

A fleeing hand
Swarming butterflies-
The ebb and flow
Of loves fiddle.

I play this song
My heart-the drum
My hands- The singers
My mind- the guitar.

You can hear
What no other can-
I Play for you
My hearts tune.

Cruel Love

If love is a piano
Play me a soft strong tune
Chopin's Raindrops anew
Pouring out my heart to you

Love is strong
Soft and kind
Love may shake
And bend your mind.

I let love in
A mistake to be had
I learned my lesson
A tough price to pay

A broken heart
To suffer the cold
With no blanket
Or hand to hold.

Love is cruel
As a beautiful mistress
She leaves you wanting
And never returns.

Is love
But a feeling?
Or is love hiding
In a previous lover?
