Hi everyone,
Let's say I had an American character who was framed for drug smuggling in South Korea. This character is extremely powerful and has the resources to hire a lawyer, but I don't know the South Korean legal system. Are there any nuances I should be aware of? Would the character be allowed to "lawyer up" immediately? This character is a financier who does considerable business in South Korea and knows the customs, but has gotten ensnared by an unseen opponent that has been stalking the character globally. Drug smuggling charges are serious in Asia, at least in Thailand. Don't even think about it in Singapore. Think "Locked Up Abroad."
