Sayers is definitely worth a read. Back in the 1970s I had a bad bout with meningitis*, which, after hospital treatment, left me at home on some serious painkillers, unable to do much but lie in bed in a darkened room and crawl to the bathroom when necessary. But, when I began to feel better, I picked up The Nine Tailors, perhaps Sayers' most famous novel, and read it through in about three days. It helped a lot. Really good read.

*Try very hard not to get meningitis. Trust me on this.
