(Seriously, sounds like a case of miscommunication as much as mismanagement of spraying/total lack of official concern for the collateral devastation.)

I find it disturbing and over reacting. Seems like the zika virus will be with us just like the West Nile virus and killer bees. Seems like the better solution would be for pregnant women to avoid areas where the virus is present or perhaps work on a weaker form of the virus and get exposed to it before getting pregnant. In the age of global warming it seems like we should get prepared for all sorts of tropical diseases coming to America. But what we shouldn't be doing is destroying bees who are mostly responsibly for pollenating our food crops. Without bees we will starve to death.
