Hi all - I hope this is an ok place to post this question.

I have started making some money as a graphic artist. I have one small ongoing corporate gig and I just made my first 'indy' money (a flyer for a non-profit). I'd like to start marketing an promoting myself and I'm really aware that I need some kind of web presence.

I have some of my work on Deviant Art, but I think some might consider it less than professional given the name. (I do use it as a portfolio, but only for a limited clientele) I'd like to find some kind of hosting that would be portfolio friendly. Does anybody have any suggestions about this?

Wix.com is a good option if you need a WYSIWYG.

Otherwise, if you're tec friendly installing your own WordPress through a host would be ideal. There are tons of free templates available for portfolios and you only pay for the host.

FYI, I got all my jobs while hosting my own site with WordPress. It showed a level of technical proficiency beyond graphic design and employers notice, as most corporate jobs include being able to function efficiently in some kind of CMS.
