Chapter breaks when pasting into email

Has some sort of manuscript etiquette evolved in the 'pasting in' format? For example, Agent X asks for the first ten or fifteen pages to be pasted into the email--should I keep the chapter breaks formatting from the word manuscript, or should I leave an X number of lines after the previous chapter before the title of the next one?
Thanks in advance!

It's usually safest to strip the formatting before emailing. Sometimes format does weird things on the receiving end. Leaving lines between chapters would probably work, or maybe use a line of "***" to denote a new chapter.

I just did a double return, Chapter Two, and the text of the next chapter. (I only had a prologue and part of Chapter One, but you get the picture.)
