Imagine a moment in time.

This moment, today.

Imagine the one who teases, beguiles, and leaves you passion-spent and empty.

Your muse.

Imagine a journalist.

You.

Imagine you could for this single moment hold her interest long enough; what would you ask?

Why do you leave me when I seek hardest for you?

Or,

Where or to whom do you go when you aren’t by my side?

Or,

What are your favorite snacks?

Or,

What is the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup?

What would you ask?

.

With apologies to Ray Bradbury

Me: So, why exactly is that scene I just wrote about a woman being attacked by a vampire and sexually aroused by it so bland?

Muse: *shrugs* You're new to erotic scenes even if you aren't new to sensual scenes. That's probably why.

Me: *pouts* Fine. What is Lucretia going to do next?

Muse: Probably experiment with mixing sex and blood and then going out to find the vampire when that isn't enough.

My muse is a smart-ass and I see lot's of polishing in my future for this novella.

My Muse is named Temperance, and he's a supporting character in my WIP. We get along, except when he tries to get me to give him more scenes.

Ha! I love how creative this thread is!

Me: Why do you abandon me whenever I need you the most?

Muse: *shrugs* It's funny.

Me: Whatcha doing in there?
Muse: Taking a nap. Listening to some music. Drinking wine.
Me: Gah! I'm at the computer, ready to go...What music?
Muse: Rachmaninoff and Mahler.
Me: You have good taste.
Muse: Come join me. We can talk later.

Muse: That's not how that's spelled.
Me: Uh.... pretty sure it is.
Muse: Look at how odd it looks. No way that's the right spelling.
Me: *goes to look it up*
Muse. Hahaha you sucker.

Muse: Look, here's an idea for the ending.
Me: Are you kidding me? I'm stuck in chapter three and have been for weeks and you want to give me the ending already?
Muse: I could have gotten to the ending in that time; I dunno what your problem is.

Me: Muse, I'm boooooored.....
Muse: Hi, bored, I'm Muse.
Me: >_<
