Does the forum reboot at half nine? London time?

I've noticed everyday that the forum isn't available for 5-10 minutes at this time. Can't be coincidence.

I think we're running the database backup scripts around that time. :)

Ah ha! I knew it wasn't my imagination.

What time is that locally? Probably lowest user activity time.

Sat Nam! (literally "Truth Name"--a Sikh greeting)

There's an 8 hour difference between GMT and PST (Pacific Standard Time), so that should be about 1:30am on this side of the USA.

Blessings,

Yep, 1:30 AM on the West Coast, and 4:30 AM on the East Coast.

It usually only takes 10 to fifteen minutes to run the backup scripts. We picked the time when the fewest number of users are logged in.

We switched from GMT to BST today. Now the site freezes at 10:30.

Blast my minority time zone.

Sorry. It's faster than it used to be, but it's critical, and it is the time with the least number of users logged on.

Oh I'm not complaining, I'm moaning, it's a British virtue. Can't help it.
