do P.I's carry a license around?

If so, what does it look like? My story is set in Florida. i know there is one license for owning your own agency and another for being a P.I. so would a guy who owns his own agency carry both licenses? Thanks in advance.

Usually looks like a driver's license, picture, state seal, number, etc. Depends on the state. I'd think he'd carry both but I dunno Fla. rules. They're probably google-able.

Yes, they do, in states where a license is required (most). My husband is a PI.
In California it includes

Picture
Physical description (height/weight/eye-color)
License #
Name of company they work for

Yes, I carry that plus a CC permit, though unlike Florida we don't have to have separate business-related CC permit here.
