So I want to write a Korean American girl, but I'd like to know a little more about it. My character is a first generation American, and her parents care about her retaining the knowledge of her country of origin. Other than that, she's sort of open, and I'd like to have more detail on it, if possible. So if anyone can relate to this experience, here's some questions that reflect the situation.

- How much did your parents care about teaching you Korean history/language?
- How much did you yourself care about the history and language?
- How accepted did you feel outside the home, and were you able to make friends easily?
- What things did your parents emphasize at home? Like, what did they want you to remember about life?
- What are some Korean customs or habits that they carried over into American life?

You don't have to answer all these questions. They're just the general direction I would like to know more about.
