Why does this feel like the beginning of World War III?

This ain't the Mudd Club
Or CBGB
We ain't time for that now...

(Sadly ironic, given the Bataclan. Though maybe we should step up security in Houston, Detroit and Pittsburgh, just in case.)

It doesn't feel that way to me, but I suspect ISIS wishes it did, and approves of the sentiment.

And yet, today, we're probably closer in many ways to the West and the Russians finding a common enemy, thereby bringing us closer to world peace (she said with ridiculous and uncalled for optimism).

And let's face it, the Cold War was WW3, fought in newspapers, with nuclear stockpiles, proxy wars and spies. A war of brinkmanship and madness.

WW4 was the Corporate War where we lost our national sovereignty to opportunistic corporations, fought in secret.

WW5 is the War of the State and the Corporations against Humanity.

By my count, WW6 is the next up (though we're still fighting the last battles of 3 and 4 and the middle of 5).
