RIP Harriet Klausner

OMG! Harriet was very kind to me when I was first starting writing and really did read my books (despite what has been posted in a bunch of places, she really DID read books...just fast).

I'm sad now...

I know an author who dealt with her back in the early 2000s, and had good things to say about Klausner. The ARCs-for-Sale fiasco and vague gushing reviews seemed to come later. Maybe it was all getting ahead of her, but she couldn't stop because her self-identity was tied into it.

Getting "Klausnerized" was a rite of passage for many beginning authors. She was an institution, and will be missed.
