Middle Earth Map Annotated by Tolkien goes up for auction

A map Tolkien took notes on and gave to Pauline Baynes the illustrator was discovered among her papers. It's being auctioned off. The map and accompanying notes contain some discussion of Tolkien's world-building methods and how he took inspirations from the real world.

I'd love to see it in a museum. It's not something I'd want to own because I don't like owning expensive things I don't actually use, but I'd travel a fur piece to see it on display.
