I found this link (while doing horror research-oops) and thought it may be of some assistance:

www.eclectics.com/writing/writing.html

If you go to the Crime Writing genre, there is forensics info. There are also a few links for mystery, including slang...

Hope this helps.

Duly Bookmarked...

Eclectic Writer is duly bookmarked for my future cruising. Thanks! (I am going to have spare time at some point, right?)

Maryn, stretched too thin (yet not thin at all!)

Re: Duly Bookmarked...

Maryn, your comment about being stretched too thin reminded me of one of my favorite Sally Forth cartoons. She's standing in front of a full-length mirror looking over her shoulder at her rear end and she says to her husband, "Do you think it's fair to say I spend every day working my rear end off?" He says, "Yeah." She sighs and looks at her rear again and says, "It must grow back while I sleep..."

Writing Again

Re: Duly Bookmarked...

Anything with "Eclectic" in it has my interest. My favorite word. Piers Anthony wrote about an eclectic eel.

My "detectives" tend to avoid the police and police procedure for one reason or another. One of them is believed by the police to be a murderer for one thing, which may explain a bit of reluctance on his part to get too involved with them.
