I would be happy to beta read. I also have an 8 year old and a 10 year old. We could read it together, if they aren't too wrapped up in the last vestiges of summer break. I have a manuscript for 6-8 year olds that is finished and in desperate need of a beta. Mine is just short of 25k words. It is a fantasy book though, if you are interested.
