Why on earth the unreasonable preoccupation about fonts? I've noticed that writers universally obsess about fonts, what kind is best and why--which is better for hard copy, vs. reading from the monitor--Is this some sort of a writerly disorder? Isn't it true that fonts are just an excuse to cover our obsessive compulsive tendency to dwell on the inadequacies that haunt our every word?
