I don't read poetry regularly and found my way over to this section through your post in WH's thread. This is pretty awesome:
I take off my shoes,
loosen your tie.
Our passion drives
a wino from a nearby bench.
He carries off his booze
.....and leaves his stench.
We’re past caring.
Clever, funny, and so on.
The rest of the poem would be at that level if the images were more striking, if it drew from a more varied vocabulary. Stanza *Googles to make sure I'm using the right word* number six is pretty good too.
