As a general note 'contest' based schemes are used because they allow the vendor to get maximum advertising for their dollar--even if they do actually award the prize (which is often difficult to determine).

I get the most interesting spam recipes scrolling across my gmail header when I open the spam folder. I'll bring Spam and Pineapple shish kibobs and the Spam and Potato Casserole. Anne, you *KNOW* what you have to bring.
