Anybody watch the first two installments last night? What did you think?
I was impressed by the scope, and I learned a few things. For one, I didn't know that Italy's unification in 1861, after a battle led by Garibaldi, in effect left Southern Italians more impoverished and oppressed than they'd been under the rule of the Spanish Bourbons, which directly led to the massive emigration to the US.
