Okay girls and boys! Here it is…

It is going to be fairly short and sweet because I’m on a time schedule right now! I have to be somewhere in an hour! I will let Marisa and Ramona (if you want) fill in the missing details!

Well, as most of you know I flew to San Jose, CA on Monday to stay with Ramona. My flights that day were delayed and I didn’t end up getting there until 10:30 pm which was no good! But, I made it which is all that matters, right!?

Tuesday we went to San Francisco and looked around. We went to the Golden Gate Bridge first. I’ve been there before but it looked different to me. It’s been a while.
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a368/anghil5/lasvegas3.jpg
Then we went to the Fisherman’s Warf and looked around there. We ate some clam chowder and a Tuna Steak Sandwich. SO good! But, I really didn’t have an appetite, I was feeling very sick! Then we went to walk around the shops and to see the seals at Pier 39. On our way back to Sunnyvale we stopped at her work and I got to see what all she did at work and meet some of her co-workers who for some reason or another both thought they had met me! Kinda’ creepy! Then we went shopping and ate Sushi!

Wednesday we went to a park in Mountain View which was really pretty! We walked around there a little bit and then went to see the Amphitheatre where Celine performed before! We went to the mall and shopped a little bit and then ate lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen. I finally had my appetite back, so I devoured the pizza and salad! I was SO stuffed!! Then we went back to Ramona’s and watched some Celine. We watched ‘Live A Paris’. She was sooooooooo cute! Then we made a "I Love Celine" Shirt! Sooo cute!

We looked at a bunch of Celine mementoes and just got ready to be in Vegas!

Vegas

Finalllllllllllly we arrived in Vegas! We got there about 3:30 pm on Thursday. We went to Caesars and checked in and started bringing our bags up to the room. We met Marisa in the parking lot after she got her nails done! It was so good to meet her!!!! We all went up to the room and un packed a little bit. Marisa and I went to walk around a little while and get some dinner. We stopped by the box office to check on tickets. Marisa wasn’t going to go to the show at all while she was there because she is going back in April. Well, WHO can resist FRONT row, Orch 4 seats? Not me! And not her! So we got those! YAY! (Thanks Marisa)! I was so excited because I wasn’t sure if there would be any front row. I gotta’ start listening to Marisa and Ramona and just knowing they are going to be there when I want them!

We walked around a little bit in the Forum Shops and just talked. Then we went to the Cypress Market and got a wrap to take up to the room to eat. After we ate it was time to get ready! So, we got ready quickly and then went down to enter the show! Agh, it was so exciting!! It was fun seeing it with Marisa!

The show started and from the moment Celine stepped on stage we could just feel she wasn’t feeling her best. It was pretty evident throughout the show, too. However, it was still spectacular! I love sitting front row! She is so playful and gives so much attention to us!! I just love her!! She sang the “Oh, Darling! I love you baby” at the end of If I Could. It was so pretty!! After At Last she said “Machoochoo” which was so funny!! There was a TeamCeline winner in the front row, who Marisa actually knew! She got the rose!! It was so cute because Celine came down to give the rose to her mom and Anna was reaching out for it. Celine said,m “This is for Mommy, no?” Anna said, “NO!” So Celine said, “Ok” and gave it to her and gave them both a hug. SO CUTE! I said Celine’s name, hoping she would turn and I could get a hug. But, no luck….I guess I need to be louder!

I just hate to bother her! After the show we talked with the musicians and dancers some and then headed off to some girl talk and then bed!

Friday and Saturday later….I gotta’ go!

And, girls…if I missed anything (which I am sure I did—because I wrote this so fast!) add it! Thanks!

Muwah!

No you don't!!! You are SO prettiful! Ah, something I forgot!

Celine was talking after If I Could and she was tryin' to say Beautiful and pretty at the same time and it kinda' came out as.... "B-B---prettiful." She's so cute.

LOL That was so great. LOL. I love that you and I were like 'awwww' when she finished the song and then she looked at us and put her hand on her chest and said "isn't that song so b-p-prettiful!?" LOL.

I think... didn't we both repeat her, too? LOL.

It was fun that night.

My fravret, though, was when she was on the stage for WAWW and we decided to stay standing... LOL. I really should just write a review..... (sigh).

I guess I’ll just do a review thought I was kind of avoiding it.

Anyway, I was going to leave at 5 AM but I didn’t go to bed until 3:30 because I was talking to Cindy and Fanny. So I ended up leaving closer to 7:30 in the morning.

I got to Vegas at about 11:30 and decided to head to the lake for some coffee. I didn’t stop to get any on the way there so, I just went ahead and headed out there. I met up with a friend that works at the Ritz for a little chat and we walked around a bit and talked.

I left a couple hours later and then headed to Caesars to schedule a manicure and was going to go alone but I ended up bringing that friend (Christy—a fellow fan) with me.

At the salon there, Venus, they were filming “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”. Christy and I joked around about being in the spotlight (literally—there was one) and then eventually time for the manicure rolled around.

It’s always nice to see the manicurist. She’s so sweet. Just after my manicure she had to head on over to do the guy’s manicure. That was neat. We joked around a bit about being on screen and stuff and then she headed on out after some hugs and see-you-laters.

I walked Christy back to her car and then I don’t remember what I did to pass the time. Shortly after that, Ramona called and we were ready to get into the hotel room. I was heading up to my car which is the same floor that Ramona and Angela had parked at.

At first I think I acted a little nonchalant and a little cold. I was just a little shy is all. But shortly we started warming up. We got settled into the room and like Angela said we headed down to get something to eat and on the way checked on some tickets.

I was not going to see the show. I was determined to shop like a mad woman instead. So I walked up to the ticket counter and requested my friend and talked with them for a few minutes. I asked if they had any first row available for my friend and I was offered Orch 4 AA 403 and 404. “You need two, right?” I couldn’t resist. I just said “yyyyeah” and we got it all handled. I was a little anxious. LOL. I just had “NO SELF CONTROL” as SOMEONE reminds me all the time (ahem, Ramona)!

We went and got wraps at Cypress and then headed back to the room to eat it and then get ready for the show. Ramona and her family members were seated just behind us so it worked out really beautifully.

When we got to the Colosseum we got in like a breeze. No waiting at all, which was nice. Just went straight to our seats no problem. I felt like we got the star treatment.

But as soon as we did walk into the Colosseum I started to feel ill for some reason. Ugh it was terrible. For a little while I thought I might not be able to see the show. I was having problems. LOL. I even told Ramona and Angela that I didn’t feel like talking which everyone here knows IS SO NOT ME. LOL.

A few minutes later I looked over to my right and I saw Tal and Celine from CC with a girl I didn’t know at the time (Kara).

A few minutes later Anna, a Team Celine contest winner was righ tin front of my face, which was quite a surprise. I think I catapulted myself out of my seat. There we were face-to-face. I’d completely forgotten she would be there at that time. I had not planned to go until pretty recently. In any case she told me a little bit about her backstage stuff and asked some questions about the convention and what-not. I tried not to talk but I realized that when I talked for some reason it felt better.

The camera went around to several children in the audience and the usual big-busted women wearing low cut shirts and such and finally the show started.

Like Angela said, we knew from the beginning that something with Celine was not exactly right. She just didn’t seem to be all that into it and she seemed tired. She didn’t have very much movement on the stage.

The show was fun to be at but since she was a little bit off it wasn’t as much fun as usual except that, like she always says, it seemed like the audience knew she needed a little extra and the audience that night seemed pretty good. Angela and I were always among the first standing up to dance and such and we did, as usual, get lots of acknowledgement.

“If I Could” was one she seemed really into that night. She did a lot of new-ish stuff with her voice on it and at the end she ad libbed something new. I had been singing along with her and she looked mine and Angela’s way quite a few times during the performance. When she ended the song the new way Angela and I looked at each other in approval and literally gasped before saying “awwwwww! That’s so pretty!!!!!”

Just after that she stood up and seemed so proud of that song. She kind of seemed to hop around and lean towards the audience and look at people right in the eyes and then asked “What about that song…. Isn’t that such a b… p… isn’t that a prettiful song?” Angela and I and Ramona, I’m pretty sure all giggled about about cute it was and I think that Angela and I actually repeated that she said prettiful through out giggles.

We sang the barney song with her. LOL. I think she did that just before “If I could” actually. People started yelling their “I love yous” and so she started singing “I love you…” and we just chimed in and laughed.

Another highlight of the night is when Celine finished singing MHWGO. At the end of the song people gave her such a long standing ovation. When the intro for WAWW began and the lights went down I said to Angela that I wasn’t going to sit down. I said it very quietly. Almost a whisper, I’d say. I think Celine had her eyes closed because all of a sudden she kind of seemed startled but pleasantly and she leaned forward looking directly at Angela and myself and said, when she should have been starting the song “Oh, you can sit down, now!” Everyone started sitting and kind of chuckling. But as soon as I sat down with Angela and Ramona we started laughing pretty hard, us three down there. I don’t know who started it but we were all three in a little fit of laughter. I was tickled pink for some reason about the whole issue. I guess it just kind of felt like that’s what she needed to feel pleased with the show that night. Celine started laughing with us. I mean, we were practically falling out of our seats we were all having such a good time.

Celine walked a few steps forward on the stage and said through her laughter “You know, I’m sorry! I’m having a moment…tonight… for the first time out of three hundred and seventy ni-seventy-sev-seventy-NINE shows…. I forgot the words to the song! You know, let’s just start the show over!”

You bet we’re all still laughing, so she hesitated a few moments more, had a few more little giggles and then took a deep breath and stood up straight and began the song.

During the song, when she sings about “friend shaking hands” I handed one to Anna and one to Angela and we shook hands. Celine had a very impressed look on her face, which was fun….. just a whole bunch of it.

The show ended and I approached Tal and the other two girls and said hello for the first time. As we talked a little but Patrick walked by and we just let him pass by. It appeared that he was looking for someone.

After the show I headed to the room because I wasn’t sure I was feeling well, still and Angela and Ramona and her family members headed to Cypress to have a couple drinks. We said hello to some of the musicians and dancers first, though.

The night ended with some good ol’ tickling and fun pushing each other off the bed and such. Some nice girl talk.

I’ll wait for Angela’s review of Friday before I go on with my reviews.

PS: I DO look terrible in that photo. LOL. I don't care what you say. LOL.

Dang, I left out lots of importance in that show review. Oops. Thanks for filling me all in....

Yes, my fravret part was the WWAW part and I forgot to mention it! Ah, she was so cute! Just put her hand on her face and admitted she forgot the words and had a total blank. She seemed a bit embarrassed, but handleded it SO well!

Ah, I miss her!

Okay, my friends! Here is the Friday in Las Vegas review…

We got up Friday morning and Ramona was going to meet with her family who was in town and then going to get her hair done. So, Marisa and I got up and took showers and tried for about 45 minutes to decide what we should wear. You see, we had on our swimsuits, and man is it hard to find an outfit to coordinate! So, we fought that battle for a while, and then walked out looking like to swimsuit models. (What are you laughing at?).

We went on a hunt for a Starbucks. Walked across the street from Caesars and couldn’t find one, so we started to head to the Aladdin. On the way we found some cute sunglasses and Marisa bought a pair. When we got to the Aladdin we were both starving and in much need of coffee! We finally found Starbucks and bought a drink and a little snack to hold us over until lunch.

We stopped and I bought some lotion and make-up remover from L’Occitane. It is so neat! I tried Marisa’s and loved it, so I bought some for myself. Then we went to the pool at Caesars to lay out and get some sun! We laid out for a couple of hours and then got a phone call to meet Ramona, her sister, and niece at Café Lago for some lunch. It was an instant yes for me; I was so hungry! So we got dressed and went inside to meet them. It was a really good lunch and we played some Keno (Shhh!). I can’t remember how much Ramona or Marisa got back, but I only got back a dollar. LOL! Not so lucky!

We walked around for a little bit and while walking through a not-so-busy part of the shops Marisa decided to sing for us. She got up on this big flower pot thing and sang opera for us! Wow--it was so good!

Here she is singing away....

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a368/anghil5/e127884d.jpg

Ah, what happened next? I can’t remember….seeeeeeriously! Did we go shop? I’m having a moment like Celine! Fill me in girls….

About 6:00 we went up to the room to get ready for the show. Ramona was actually in LV in February and saw Rene outside of the box office. She talked to him for a little bit and he asked her how many times she had been to the show. She told him 45, 46, or however many it was at the time (she hit 50 this past weekend!). He was quite impressed and he offered her two free tickets for the next time she was in town. She gave him the dates and Wha-la!

We decided to wear our “I love Celine” shirts to the show and some jeans for a cute and casual look!

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a368/anghil5/c2ab596d.jpg

We picked up our tickets and they were very good seats! Right behind the sound booth! Orch 4, Row D, seats 404 and 405. Very good seats. Amazing sound and could see the stage perfectly! Thanks Rene!

The show was WOW! She was feeling much, much, much better than the night before! Very into the show and very energetic! She did most of the same ad-libs as the night before. She did skip “If I Could” though. We were told that she just didn’t feel like singing it that night. She was mad at Rene-Charles…juuust kiddin’! After singing At Last, you know how she normally kisses into the mic and then she says “Muchacha!”? Well, this night she sang……”I Love Yoooooooooou” It was real cute. What does Celine do that isn’t cute? Humph, nothing!

We sat right next to Frannie’s mom at the show. She is from England. Frannie is the girl who is on the middle swing during If I Could. Her mom was sooooooo sweet and so excited to be there to see her daughter! She had been about 10 times before!

She did her usual talk about being there for 3 years and how time flies and all of that…It was cute because she was talking about how everyone in the show and all of audience is one big happy family. And a man was being escorted in to his seat she stopped and said hi to him. Then she said, “See, we are all just one big, happy, intimate family!”

Man, I’m having forgetful problems; I can’t remember anything else about the show! If I think of anything else I will let you know…

We met Marisa by the boutique after the show and then we talked with some dancers and musicians and went to the Cypress Market and had some pizza and drinks (well, Marisa and I had water, LOL!) with Yves, Andre, and Jean-Sebastien. It was yummy!

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a368/anghil5/1874659f.jpg

Then we went back to the room and went to bed! It was a fun day!

Wait until Saturday! It’s even better….very funny!

We laughed a LOT this weekend. It was great!

Muuuuuwah!

Anna, I think Tal would be more than happy to tell you how she got 4 Orch 4 AA seats in advance. I think she got them in December. ;-) That's her story to tell. Not mine. :0)

PS: Maybe I was getting sick for real in Vegas. I look ill in all of these photographs. One thing's for sure-- the hair color has GOT to change-- and fast!!!!! I feel ugly now. Felt cute there-- feel ugly now. LOL.

So, we fought that battle for a while, and then walked out looking like to swimsuit models. (What are you laughing at?).

Did I take a shower? I don't think we took showers yet.... because we were going to the pool so there, like--wasn't really a point, right? LOL. And you had your hair in a pony tail and then took one before the show.....

Anyway yes, we took forever to decide on outfits (mainly me-- Angela looks cute in everything). LOL.

We went on a hunt for a Starbucks. Walked across the street from Caesars and couldn’t find one, so we started to head to the Aladdin. On the way we found some cute sunglasses and Marisa bought a pair. When we got to the Aladdin we were both starving and in much need of coffee! You're not gonna' share our 'sick' pictures, huh? LOL. I agree, it's best we keep those to ourselves.

Anyway all of the above is true. I lead us the wrong way for the Starbucks and the one we hit up first didn't have my parfait so we went on a trek to Aladdin to see if they might. They still didn't so I got grapes and a strawberries n' creme frap. and Angela got, I think, a vanilla latte-- a HOT drink when it was warm outside. LOL. I think she got a scone, too.

Headed to L'Occitane.... and then went to the pool, where some guy came up to Angela and asked if she by any chance had some tanning oil. When she responded "no" the guy stood there a few seconds more and explained that he was Italian and "liked to fry." LOLOL! I just find that funny!

By the way, I got $5 on Keno. But Ramona wanted to pay for the one and I bought the other. So out of $20 spent, I got $5 back. Yeah-- I was proud at first then I just figured out the ratio. Haha! Ramona got $7 back, I believe.

Uhm, yea, first of all let me explain that I am not at all happy about this photograph. I must have been so in a trance or nervous about singing there like that as it is because I didn't realize that you had your camera out. This is SUCH a scary ugly photograph. YICK! Haha-- so much for the bathing suit model comment. (sniffle sniffle)! Maybe if we're thinking plus size-- I might get away with that from this picture!!!!!

Anyway, yeah, I was feeling goofy and Ramona always bothers me about singing for her and I haven't really ever sang a cappella for her. We were headed for the direction of the area that I sang with Darryl in December of 2004 so I told her that I would sing for her there because I knew the acoustics were nice.

In the mean time we looked for a less trafficed little area and decided that THIS planter seemed to be less busy. I wanted 'til there were a very small amount of people heading towards us and then climbed jokingly onto the planter. Ramona and Angela found it amusing so I stayed there and then started singing my little opera song. I do sing it well so I didn't make a complete *** of myself. But the lady taking care of a very espensive glass shop to my right was not too entertained. She shook her head disapprovingly as I climbed off of my make-shift stage laughing hysterically at Ramona and Angela who were walking closer, pretending to be amazed, shaking their heads in false amazement, and offering me $5 bills. LOLOL!

I couldn't even finish my song. I had to laugh! I have a new appreciation for Celine keeping it together with we hecklers being silly during shows!

Took a quite trip to the room to leave Angela's L'Occitane bag... or get something else. I left my cell phone there on accident.

BUT ANGELA LEFT OUT A BIG DEAL. See, Ramona went off to win some poker and Angela and I did a little browsing some forum shops--we went to the Gap and oogled the adorable baby clothes and I tried on a white dress shirt that didn't work out for me--no, no! Not in the baby section-- in the ADULTS section.

We headed to Express where I found the shirt that did work out and some black leggings and then we headed back to the room and were thinking of getting something to eat.

When we got to the room I noticed that I had a couple text messages on my phone (I left it in the room in between the pool and shopping at the forum shops) and Ramona had asked us to come 'get her' in the poker room.

When we got down there she took us to a less busy half of the room where we spotted Rene playing poker in his blue sunglasses and some more casual-esque clothing. His hair on the back of his head seems a little longer than usual and he was VERY concentrated. This was, we are assuming, part of him playing in a poker tournament taking place there that weekend. We observed no longer than a few seconds but then headed on out as Ramona cashed in her chips. We didn't want to be rude........ but it was neat to see him in the act of practicing one of his favorite pass-times.

Yep, yep... I walked down to CVS and bought myself a soda and water and took a couple of pix with my cell phone of the Paris tower at night time and watched a little of the Bellagio fountain show. I got back to the room with enough time to chat with a couple of friends and then headed on down to meet Angela and Ramona after their show.

We went to have 'drinks' with the boys, which was neat. Very very kind people. In the middle of the gathering Michel walked up to Ramona to greet her and almost knocked Angela's pizza onto her lap but this very skillful lady (yes, Angela the almighty) caught it in the palm of her hand. Neither of us realized who it was at first but then realized quickly that it was indeed Monsieur Michel.

I said my usual "Bonjour Michel" and he turned his head after greeting Ramona and seemed excited to see me there. I was a little surprised he remembered me. I always think that they pretend to, to be nice, but he gave me a big ol' wet kiss on the cheek and a hug from behind. He sat at a different table with a couple of his buddies.

The chiropractor came over for a few seconds as well and started talking about a certain group of muscles with Yves. I was a little in awe-- I know to a lot of people it might sound stupid-- but I thought "Oh he's one of my people!" I do massage work so I just kinda watched him talking about the human body with Yves and realized that this kind of work really is important to all different kinds of people and artists. It was just a cool realization to have.

(Have to say thanks to Yves, Andre and Jean-Seb for the night...as well as Michel. Very pleasant! :) Lots of fun!!!! But most of all I have to thank Ramona and Angela because they 'bring out the best of me'. You know what I mean, ladies!)

Then we went back to the room and went to bed! It was a fun day!

LIAR!!!!! I know you're not forgetting about our late-night romp through the forum shops in our PJs with out gigantic ice cream cones!? How dare you! That alone was a barrel of laughs as it is! LOL.

Yep-- Angela and I got all decked out in our pjs and headed down for some ice cream and then a walk through the shops. It was fun. I don't think we got as many funny looks as we expected, though. But it was fun. She wore a red pair of PJ pants and a blue long sleeved tee and I wore my red flannel pj pants and a green long sleeved tee. Flip flops are mandatory. Though I think next time we should go for bare-foot.

Wait until Saturday! It’s even better….very funny!

We laughed a LOT this weekend. It was great!

Muuuuuwah!

Indeed! We need some of Ramona's photos, though. I have to look half-way decent in at least one photograph. I swear I'm not this ugly in person, people!

First off---you're not ugly! You are beautiful!

And-----why am I forgetting everything! I told you earlier that everything about this trip has seemed to blend for me!

YES--we did go romping through the Forum Shops in our pj's! We even passed a couple of "hot" nightclubs on the way! Yea, we are toooooooo cool for Vegas! :snoopy:

What would I do without Marisa to fill me in on all of our events. Man, I'm forgetful! :e2shrug:

I will write Saturday's and try not to leave anything out, tomorrow. I have to work alllll day so it will give me something to do! Even though it should be homework. Hm, maybe I can do both. Maybe.

I guess we'll both have to wait until Tal posts her review.

Marisa your reviews are always so colourful and exciting...and plentiful! Seems like you go to Vegas every few weeks, you surely must have that Ramona lady beat in show count.

Hah!

Nope. I'm only 21 by measure of show count. Ramona is much older-- twice my age and more, actually. Hehe. She turned 51 this past trip. There are a few people like that, actually!

I guess we will have to wait for Tal's review. Does she plan on posting it here?

PS: Thanks for the compliments. I do have fun while I'm there. Glad it comes through in reviews.

UHuahuHAua you guys are so funny!!!! lol but its not possible to walk bare-foot at the hotel area = security will tell you to put your shoes on. I took my shooes off after the first show I went `cause they were killing my feet and i was walking back to my room and just on the way - where there`s a egysip (sp) rbar & club a security asked me to put my shoes on `cause i could hurt my feet and etc that u know...lol

Yeah, security would get upset by bare feet. It's mostly a liability thing. Silly insurance companies would be mad.

Now, imagine a guy trying to walk through the shops in PJs. Probably get arrested.

Girls have it SO easy!

Saturday Review:

Aw, I was sad waking up on Saturday because it was my last day. I get sad before it is even over, isn’t that terrible? I think so!

We got up pretty early. Ramona is an early riser anyways, and I think Marisa and I got up around 8 am. We had decided to go to the lake first thing and go kayaking. So we woke up and got ready as quick as we could and met Ramona downstairs, where she was playing poker.

We walked up to the parking garage and got into Ramona’s car she rented, then decided since we didn’t have c.d.’s that we would take Marisa’s. So we drove over to her car and piled in. It was a fun trip over. We just listened to On Ne Change Pas; cd 1, I think. I really like the drive from the Strip to the lake. It is just so beautiful. We didn’t talk much, just enjoyed the view and the music.

Once we got over to the lake we met up with some friends of Ramona’s. They took us to eat at the Country Club. I’ve been there once before. But, wow! The view from the dining room is amazing. I love it! And the food is just as good. I wish I could eat there every single day! I would, really.

After lunch we took Sue and Raymond back to their house and we went over to the Monte Lago to park and headed down to the lake (after a looooooooong detour—that we later discovered could have been avoided). Oh well, it was quality time.

We got all signed up and the same guy was working that was there in January. He’s really nice. We got a single and a double kayak. Marisa took the single and Ramona and I took the double. We signed the papers and got on the kayak. Ramona and I started to float away as Marisa waited to get her boat cleaned off. It was a little dirty. I turned to take a picture of Marisa on the dock, and my Celine Dion Eyes sunglasses fell into the lake. I barely touched them with my hand before they sank to the bottom. Oh—I’m so sad! That will teach me to buy expensive sunglasses. Cause I have had two pair and lost both of them in Las Vegas (One at the airport and one in the Lake). Boo!

Once Marisa got all settled we headed off. Ramona had a little bit of trouble getting started. We couldn’t get the rhythm of the paddles. It was hilarious! For some reason we continuously headed toward this rock wall and had to push ourselves back each time. Marisa was moving quite quickly down the lake, she had to turn around several times to come get us! We laughed way too hard! I think I almost wet my pants! Oops! Ha! Ha!

We had so much fun singing “Row Row Row your boat.” We even did a (what’s it called? A repeater?). All the fishes loved it! We even sang a little bit of “The Power of Love.” Now that was incredible!

After going sideways down half the lake Ramona and I decided to be clever. We saw a rope on the front of our boat and a clip on the back of Marisa’s. Aaah Ha! We attached our boat to Marisa’s and she pulled us! It was so funny because she kept looking back at us and would get on to us for not rowing! We tried! We laughed at a bunch of stories related to Celine. That Celine would come save us if we drowned and let us go shop in her closet or that Celine would reward Marisa for being so strong and pulling us lazy girls down the lake! When we started to head back it was so windy and we couldn’t even stop rowing without getting blown back 10 feet. I know my arms were tired, and Marisa’s had to be about falling off by now! We finally got back, about 30 minutes late and parked the kayaks at the dock.

We collected our things and went to get gelato. I got Mocha, Ramona got chocolate cherry (I think), and Marisa got Hazelnut (I think). It was yuuuuuuuummy!

We walked back to the car and luckily Marisa had some extra pants in her trunk because her pants were soaking wet! We loaded up in the car and headed back to Caesars.

When we got back we went to the box office to check on tickets. No luck yet. So Ramona went to win some money playing poker and Marisa and I went to the Venetian to shop around and look for some really neat glass rings she saw in a magazine. We walked around there for about an hour and then headed back to the room to meet Ramona and get ready!

We got all ready for the show and then went to the box office about 7:30 to check on tickets.

When we got there they had 2 front row, Orch 5, seats 404 and 405 available (Only 2?). We kind of contemplated on it a bit and then finally went ahead and got them and kept checking back to see if another one was available.

Marisa was greaaaaaaaaaat! She offered the tickets to Ramona and me even though she was the one who got them. (Thanks Marisa, you’re the best! No—really, you are!)

We waited outside the colossium until about 8:25 before heading in. We went into the show and sat in our seats. The show was just like Friday and Thursday night. Not much to tell about it. Other than it was the 3 year anniversary for the show. She talked a little bit about that. One girl yelled out that it was her birthday and Celine said happy birthday to her. She said that her birthday was coming up in 5 days and that she was getting old. Then she stopped and said “I’m not getting old, she was getting experienced. Yea, that’s the way I like to think about it.” She was too cute! It was one of the dancers birthdays, as well. Alejandro’s. During Fever, while she was up on the piano she stopped and looked at him (he was right in front of her—on the stage) and said “Happy Birthday sweetheart!” Awe, it was sooooooooo cute! I just love her!

When rose time came she took the rose from Elijah and then asked him to get her one more. He brought her one more back and they did their usual bows and then she headed to Orch 4 to give the rose to a young boy (maybe 4) in the front row. Then she gave the rose to a young girl (maybe 6) in the Orch 3 Row BB. The little girl was so cute, all dressed in white and she about fainted when she got the rose! Absolutely adorable!

When the show was over we met Marisa outside of the Colossium and she was talking with Tal, Celine, Sophie, and Kara (right?) and Elijah. We talked for a little bit and then said good-bye to them.

We decided to go out to eat for my last night. We went to the Cheesecake Factory and ate a late dinner! It was sooooo yummy! I got four cheese pasta, Marisa got pizza, and Ramona got Thai lettuce wraps! It was really good. Then we all shared a piece of New York style Cheesecake. It was really good, but we were so full that we couldn’t even finish one piece between the three of us! Ha!

We walked back up to the room and I packed all my bags and got everything together since I had to leave early the next morning! It was sad. I didn’t want to go…at all! But, I had to!

Marisa, once again, fill me in! I’m sure I left out looooots of parts!

And Marisa can give you a review of the show on Sunday and all day Sunday! I can’t wait to read it!

And, I am not on my computer right now so I can't show any pics. I will post them later though! There are some funny ones!

Bye!

Yeah, the club was really beautiful. "Just as I'd imagined it." LOL. We had a few 'moments' up there that were really, really funny & ironic.

The lighting up there when we first got in there was really actually, pretty. It wasn't too light or too dark and it made the mountains look really gorgeous. We took a few pictures up there.

The other ones are a little too big, so I'll have to see if I can post them later. The one of the mountains alone is really pretty.

We finally got back, about 30 minutes late and parked the kayaks at the dock.

This is not exactly how it went. LOL.

So here we were, getting out kayaks. I was elated. I've wanted to kayak on the lake since my first trip there last summer. So one thing I forgot to ask is if Angela and Ramona had ever kayaked. NOPE!

So, they loaded into the tandem kayak as the guy cleaned my kayak off (it was wet and dirty in the seat-- he offered, I didn't ask) and he explained ot Angela and Ramona how to use the kayak.

I was on my way to the middle of the lake when I realized that I heard some hysterical laughter from pretty far behind me. When I looked I saw Ramona and Angela running into the rock wall. Not only once, but three times! They just couldn't get the knack! It was so funny and amusing!

Here are some pix:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/MarisaLouise/Marisascamera244.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/MarisaLouise/Marisascamera245.jpg
Notice how amused Angela is with the matter. I think this was the third time they ran into that wall!!!!!

Anyway, what really happened is that we got just barely around the rock wall and Ramona and Angela proposed this silly idea to attach the strings of our kayaks together because they just fell more and more behind. It was rather hillarious.

So, we attached the strings and I thought that it would be for just a moment of laughs. I started towing them behind me and it wasn't too much work. I thought, "cool, no problem, I'll just guide them!" Then all of a sudden I hear this cute little accented voice behind me "YOU GO GIRL! NO NO, A LITTLE TO THE RIGHT. STARBOARD.... NO, THE OTHER DIRECTION... TOWARDS THE SHORE. OVER DER!"

I started laughing and look behind me to see Ramona and Angela laughing hysterically with their paddles completely out of the water, without a single drop of water or moisture on them, sitting nicely across their laps. They haven't been doing a thing!!!!!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/MarisaLouise/Marisascamera246.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/MarisaLouise/Marisascamera247.jpg

You see that!? What am I? A yellow taxi!?

LOL. So, before we know it we're around the first cove and I'm being playfully dramatic, complaining about towing them behind me in the water and them not doing any work. We shared a lot of laughs.

We sat there for a few minutes just lounging, me with my feet in the water and stuff. I thought I was going to tip over for a little, but I didn't. We exchanged cameras and then Ramona and Angela started singing "The Power of Love" which I was embarassed about. We were right in the area about where Celine lives so it was a little like omgosh for me. I was quiet.

Now, on the other hand, when it came to "Row, row, row your boat" I was the choir director for that one. And we TRIED doing a ROUND but it never worked because Ramona and Angela had no idea what I was talking about. Haha. We tried it over and over and over again and ended up laughing so hard our tummies were hurting.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/MarisaLouise/Marisascamera248.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/MarisaLouise/Marisascamera249.jpg

We went further down the lake and then headed back, which is when we got caught in the wind and I got blisters on my hand. There was a sever storm warning in effect until 9 PM that night. But I was just plugging away. That's when we started joking about having to have a rescue boat come and get us because Ramona and Angela don't know how to kayak in the middle of the lake and I don't have the strength to tow them anymore. LOL.

(Angela, insert your picture, here!)

It was a lot of fun.

We collected our things and went to get gelato. I got Mocha, Ramona got chocolate cherry (I think), and Marisa got Hazelnut (I think). It was yuuuuuuuummy!

Yeah and my rear end was freezing so we didn't stay to eat it there. Ramona got Cherry Amaretto and I got Bocci or something that sounds like that. It was chocolate and hazlenut & super tasty.

We walked back to the car and luckily Marisa had some extra pants in her trunk because her pants were soaking wet! We loaded up in the car and headed back to Caesars.

When the show was over we met Marisa outside of the Colossium and she was talking with Tal, Celine, Sophie, and Kara (right?) and Elijah. We talked for a little bit and then said good-bye to them.

The tickets are no problem. It didn't make sense when I didn't even plan on seeing the show once when I was there. It had been your plan to see the show every night you guys were there so it wouldn't make sense to be greedy and keep one for me and leave one of you out.

No tickets came available for me. The show was sold out completely that night and everyone had already picked up their tickets. When that happens no one is permitted to take the empty seats in the colosseum because it means someone might show up in the middle of the show expecting to take their seat and have someone else sitting in it instead.

I ran into Tal, Cara, Sophie and Celine at the doors waiting for the dancers. Michel came walking out and had a little passing by conversation with me. Asked how I was doing and some other little thing. He kept walking so I didn't want to interrupt him in case he was too busy heading out somewhere. He had a Celine Dion Boutique bag with him that night.

As he was walking by the girls and another pair of fans, the pair asked him if they could take some photographs. I noticed that they were really excited so I cautiously went up to the girl taking the photo and offered to take one of she and her friend with Michel together. Then 'the girls', Tal, Sophie, Cara and Celine asked if I'd take one of them together, too. No problem. I did.

As he was leaving, Michel said goodbye and gave a quick blow of a kiss and was on his way.

Andre and Yves stopped out, though I'm not sure if Angela and Ramona were there. They're always so nice and Yves complimented my outfit, which was nice of him. Hugs n' kisses on the cheek and then they were off.

Tal and the ladies and I talked a bit about their seats for the next night and eventually said our goodbyes because I thought that I was leaving the next day. They were the ones that Michel told that Celine didn't sing "If I could" because she "didn't feel like it."

That's when Elijah headed out and we all said hello. The ladies did a little joking around with them and then he headed off.

Bye!
That was about it for Saturday. Except you forgot about the crab cheese wontons. They were a little too crabby, though. Not cheesy enough for my liking, but still tasty.

Sunday's review comin' a little later. I have to fill in for Ramona, too.

Marisa Louise
04-02-2006, 10:59 AM
We'll make Sunday's review short and sweet as possible.

I slept in, as usual. Ramona woke me up and told me that she was going to go out with her family for some gambling and for lunch and that we needed to check out of that room and into another at 11. So, after she woke me up I kept waking up every half an hour knowing that I had to pack up all my clothes (I was much worse than Angela and Ramona with this) and everything.

So I woke up at about 10 AM and took the entire hour to get packed up-- sat on the suitcase and everything. LOL.

Headed out of that room and into the new one. I ate the rest of my left over tomato and basil pizza while sitting on the floor and reading some gossip mgazines that Ramona had.

I headed down to the Box Office to see if there were any tickets available and then headed to the pool.

I layed out for probably two hours. I fell asleep (again) and this time got a little burnt on my arms but didn't know it yet.

Ramona and I kept texting each other back and forth.

The night before she had been really sweet. She knew that on Saturday it was hard for me to give up the opportunity to see the show (we had all gotten excited thinking of seeing it all three of us together that night) and so when they were escorted in by a friend of mine, and I stayed outside, apparently Ramona made the decision that if I could get a hold of a first row ticket she wanted to treat me to it.

While sitting at the pool I decided I'd make sure she wanted to. I believe she responded with "I said I would" and I responded to her with "Wills and want are different.... " and she called back to tell me she really wanted to treat her "bratty baby" to the show. LOL.

I finished laying out and then went out to do some shopping for a while. I went down to Fashion Show in search of some white and some grey leggings and possibly a Pay Less Shoes for some black pumps.

Anyway to just be quick and skip over details I asked about the shoes I saw on the manequins at Express and they were Steve Madden. I decided I couldn't get them because they'd be really expensive. Anyway so I was in the mall and I found a Steve Madden store and I found the shoes I wanted and they weren't priced too badly, so I bought them.

I got a phone call from the Box Office a little later regarding a ticket so I had to book it on down from there. I'd walked.

I got to the Box Office not too long after that and got the ticket and everything. It was VIP Orch 5 AA 504. Not too bad! :) So I bought it. The person that helped me at the Box Office made a funny comment about how I got down there awfully fast. Haha.

I headed to Express, got a new shirt and decided to wear it with some black leggings and my new pumps to the show. I bought it reluctantly but with Ramona's advice to know it looked good. LOL. it's called confidence, right?

She met me down there then we walked and hugged a little bit (I Love her so much.... (hug sounds)). Then she went to play some more poker and I headed off to get a little something to eat. We got ready for the show and everything. It was about that time by then.

It took me forever. I was soooo nervous and in lack of confidence. I was wearing leggings and those are still a little iffy fashion wise. You know, people make comments about "don't wear them if this and this and this and this and this, but wear them if only this" So I was a little nervous about the whole thing. But Ramona 'rushed' me out the door (Yea, right! LOL. I took FOREVER)!

We headed down and everything and headed to our seats. Ramona and her friend had secured tickets in advance and had first row center. Tal, Celine, Cara and Sophie were seated to her right and stuff. No center seats opened so I kept my Orch 5 AA seat all alone (boo hoo).

Ramona and I had talked earlier about that we wanted to sing "Happy Birthday" to her at some time that it was suitable. We had originally planned to do it when she sits down to sing "If I Could" but the opportunity didn't work out then.

The show started very well and she seemed very lively and into it. I felt a little funky though. Lonely. People around me were not as lively. Anyway, the show was great and then when it got to be just after "Seduces Me" Sophie let out this big bellowing "I wanna' go backstage" with just a hint of British accent detectable. Celine kinda rolled her eyes but did it cute-like and shrugged and leaned forward adorably and said "Girlfriend, I ca--they're changing back there. You can't come back right now..." and then continued with her regular scripted speech.

A few moments later, she asked if she could sit with the audience of course and I think I could feel the girls' surprise that she was singing the song. I could definitely sense their excitement. So close for them!

So she sat down and started talking about everything!!!!! About how she had a break coming soon and about how things are going in her show and in her life and about the shows 3 year anniversary. She talked about being one big happy family and then a woman started having a conversation in the second row with her. Celine started joking around and then said "Oh! You see... here were are and in the middle of the show, in the middle of 4100 people we're sitting here having a full on conversation! How imtimate is that? Anyway, tonight is our last show and we're going to go on a break. Seventeen days! I'm so excited. I'm going to go home and do cupcakes and playdough and finger paint. You know, my son started school...."

The audience awww'd and cheered for Celine and then Celine kind of made herself look frustrated and said "Thanks for the support." I couldn't help it. I said all sympathetic-like from way over where I was "It's okay Celineee" like you'd say "it's okay babyyyy" comforting a child who just scraped their knee.

Then she snapped out of it a little and said "Anyway... I can finish telling you about the rest of my life a little later..... but for now I'd like to dedicate this next song....."

It was just really cute.

So then the rest of the show went on and she was great. I was a little surprised that I got some attention from her considering that her buddy, Ramona, who's received a number of roses, more hugs than flowers and more attention than.... well.... I'd almost say Rene-Charles (lol j/k) and then the girls from CC were over in Orch 4. In Orch 3 AA there were four other big time fans as well so then there I was standing solo but she paid attention. That really made my night although I was lonely over there. I got more than was expected from me.

All of the other songs went really nicely and she seemed to have a lot of fun. She was just really light and airy.

Someone else might have to fill me in. But for the upbeat songs that people are encouraged to dance to I was standing the entire time and so were Ramona and all them kids in the Orch 3 and 4 sections and then me in Orch 5. We made for some good times. "I'm Alive" came around and I looked and saw that the kids in Orch 4 all did the little 'breakdown' movement where she freezes the rest of the team behind her. LOL. That was cool to see.

Time for "WAWW" and everyone was still standing for her. The lights went down, and again she talked about how this was anew year for the show and how proud she was. She got the timing right (as it tends to vary from night to night-lol) and then Tal and the ladies yelled "Happy Birthday, Celine" she kind of laughed and then that is when Ramona read my mind.

I looked over to her and she was tugging tal's arm to see if they'd start singing the Birthday song to Celine. Immediately they all started and I did too and we sang the song to her. The audience started in and Celine seemed genuinely touched. Ramona blew her a kiss and Celine caught it and placed it on her cheek, then she placed her hand on her heart and kinda' did a half turn, giggling a little, bending to the ground, and said "here I am, trying to forget that I'm turning a year older but... well, it's okay. I am. Thank you!"

She started singing "WAWW" and it felt like a long time that she was over in the Orch 5 section of the stage. She's probably there just as long every other night but I probably don't notice but it felt like she was there in front of me for a long time. I noticed myself on the screen... looked terrible. Overly happy. You know what that does... your cheeks puff up and your eyes get all beady. Haha. That was me.

After the show Celine headed to her people on the stage and discussed something seeminly in a serious tone with Mego. She listened intently and then smiled. Elijah brought her the rose and she STARTED HEADING MY DIRECTION. I actually didn't react the way I ever thought I would. I just stood there grinning at her as she got closer and closer, and then when she got to the stairway just to the side she gave me a little grin, then cocked her head to the side, looked at the security guard and then told him in her cute little accent "I'm goin' farrrr!" and he got confused. He looked at her all serious and was like "Hmm?" So she just looked back over and winked my direction and then started walking up the steps quickly. "Oh!" he said rapidly turning his body and running after her.

She headed to an elderly lady who was sitting in the soundbox that had been really silly that night when she got on the screen before the show begins. She had made fun of her wrinkles and how she looked on the camera, which was just adorable and Celine hugged her for quite some time. Then she headed back down to the stage with two more security trailing her, and then took the final bows.

Before exiting the stage completely, but after she's out of view of most people, she could be seen from where I was. She was excessively blowing kisses to the dancers and musicians as they exited the stage, while she was squatting towards the ground. Then she stood up, spread her arms like she was an airplane and ran down the ramp to whomever was waiting for her-- Michel I assume. I could almost 'hear' her saying "Yaaaaay!" as she ran off towards her 17 day vacation. Her hair was bouncing behind her all cute-like.

I saw that and I wasn't lonely anymore. I felt good that I was there. That last moment when most people didn't see her made me so happy. I don't know. I was just happy for her.

I went over to see Ramona again and then we headed out. Tal and the girls were either ahead or behind and said they didn't know if they'd be over by the doors that night. I saw Sophie in the bathroom a bit later but that was it. I wonder if they went backstage!!!!! LOL. Did all the consistent yelling it work? I hope so for them. They have such a good time when they're at the shows.

Ramona wanted to stop by the Sound booth to see a friend of hers and to greet him. Just behind him was Suzanne. I didn't know her, I'd never met her so I didn't want to be a weirdo and say hi, but it was nice to see her. I know she played a role in us getting back with the quilt so.... it was neat. Ramona didn't even notice. She's too into the friends she's already made. :)

We waited at the doors and said goodbye to some of our dancers and musician friends. Yves and Andre came on out again. We said our goodbyes and wished them a great 17 day vacation. Again Yves complimented what I was wearing that night which felt good. Like I said I'd been nervous about those leggings. Haha.

Michel came out a little later while we were wating (admittedly for him) but another dancer as well. He came out and I was scrunched towards the ground because my lower back was hurting and I was tired. He waved and smiled and then came over and hugged Ramona and kissed her on the cheek. I stood up and he held out his hand all low and looked at me, so I playfully put my fists on my hips and asked if I could steal a hug too. He smiled and then said "Why not" and raised his arm higher, and pulled me into one.

I swear, I plowed into him. He gives such great hugs. I just love them. He pulled me in with one arm and then hugged with both, and I went to give him a kiss on the cheek as he was going to get hime and we got on the lips instead. WHOOPS! I apologized and he just looked at me like "are you kidding? It's no problem" and then smiled all friendly like and finished the hug with a big ol' hug sound. He blew another kiss as he left and said "We'll see you soon, sweetie" and was on his way.

We headed to take a couple of pictures at the colosseum and then ran into Aaron and a couple more people that (surprise surprise) Ramona knows.

Talked with Aaron a little bit. A dancer was leavin' due to some non-show-related issues and so it was an emotional night for them and they were headed off for some good times before they left.

We even posed some people at the big sign. LOL. Told them how to stand, look.... how to dress. LOL. That's me and Ramona. Bossy. J/k.

We took these two pictures and then we headed off to the room because I had to leave early, early in the AM, or so I thought.

I was going to leave at 5 AM and then it just didn't happen. Ramona and I ended up waking up a little later than that and having breakfast brunch. She learned a little bit about why I am the way I am.... which was some good bonding and then we did some hugs and kisses after I loaded into the car and headed home (sniffle sniffle) I miss her! I miss Angela...

Good times, though. Good times!

Theeee end.

Oh, but first:

Darryl just reminded me by bringing up the word "prank":

On Sunday night, Elijah went rollerblading across the stage at the end of "I Wish" Celine did a double take and pointed.

I'm just amazed at how well she can hold it all together!

Sounds like the girls had a good time on Sunday! And look at you kissing Michel on the lips, Marisa, you minx!

Not sure about the leggings outfit. Too Celine in the 80's meets Peggy Bundy.

Well, I figure I will carry on in tradition and give a review anyway. So it doesn't involve Celine (much) but it does involve our 'people'. So why the heck not, eh!? We DID have a great time, after all!:Hug2:

So, it started out like this: You all know that for me, I was goingback and forth like.. hour-to-hour about whether I should go and when and stuff from the beginning. Well it went that way...... all the way during the drive to Vegas.

I got on the road at about 2:09 PM after getting gas and first thing I ran into stinky traffic. Now, it wasn't so much stop and go (but maybe a few miles) but it was slower than the usual 75-80 MPH I travel on this particular stretch of highway. When I finally switched highways, normally I drive about 80-85 all the way along the stretch of road and it ends up getting me to Vegas in about 4 to 4.5 hours. I had a strict time and had expected I would be in Vegas at about 6:30 or 7 PM at the latest to meet everyone.

At about 5 o' clock I ran into another bout of traffic. This one sudden and causing us to be at a complete stop. A police officer about 36 cars up had pulled over a drunk driver and had blocked off both lanes of traffic for the time being. 30 minutes and a walk in the center divider in the middle of the desert later, we were back into the cars and eventually cruising along.

One advantage to being stopped completely in this case? I got to know a little of the personalities of the drivers surrounding me the rest of the way. It was fun to see their personalities and then their driving styles and how nicely they both went together!

At about 7 PM, and still a half-an-hour out of Vegas I received a phone call from someone who has a hard time returning them. She didn't sound the happiest and I started asking her if something was the matter and if everything was okay. "Yes" was her response initially but as I began to talk so excitedly about Vegas and about the others seeing the show she interrupted me with a long, drawn out "Yyyyyea..." which I knew meant trouble. :Ssh: She asked whether or not I had intended to see the show while out there and I said I was not going to, no, but that the others had planned to like... at least three times.

That's when I heard the news that the show had been cancelled all week. I thought for a while she was mistaken by the dates but she clarified and read me the little press release from celinedion.com. I immediately thought about how it was going to be to tell the Dutchies and Fanny. The Dutchies had each other to cry with but Fanny was with her parents in a hotel and would be separated from us at night time and I knew how devastated she would be.:e2bummed:

Immediately I thought that creating a gift basket for Celine would get their attention off the cancelled shows and onto a project to hopefully bring a smile to Celine's face.:e2flowers

I arrived at the Aladdin hotel at about 7:30 and immediately texted Fanny's father who told me that she was with Cindy and that she would forward the message to her that I was there. Finally at 8:30 PM, Cindy got a hold of me and told me that the entire time I was supposed to meet them in the hotel room! Whoops! I found my way and knocked on the door then stepped out of the way to play a little joke.:e2tongue:

They answered the door with a half "hello" saying only "Hel....!" and realized no one was there. Then there was silence and a little "oh...." and I peeked from where I was. It was fun to see their reactions. They got a little confused. :Wha: Haha!

I entered into the hotel room and there was about half of the group. There was, from my right to left, Willemijn, Robin, Mathias, Eg, Fanny and Cindy practically right in front of me. I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed and I had been so nervous that I got a little shy. :scared: Not only was I meething all these people (except for Fanny) for the first time, but I had this terrible news that I got the 'pleasure' (yea, right!) to share.:gone:

We all said hello and I learned people's names and then Cindy showed them a little easter egg I had created for all of them. It was orange, like their shirts, and on one side it said "Holland" and the other "Celine Dion.nl". They had a good laugh with that. We all did.

That's when I decided to tell the news. :e2violin: That kind of deflated everything for a little bit but............ I didn't know what else to do but to kind of..... I don't even remember, which is unusual. I think I blocked it from my memory. I just remember seeing everyone's faces and Cindy take a step back from me and put her arms behind her back. I didn't even look at Fanny or anyone else, really, but if I think of it, I think that Robin actually turned his back to me and put his hand to his mouth, leaning on a chair or something and I knew that Willemijn tried to hide tears from her eyes-- :e2cry: or even tried to keep them from coming just then.

I guess in some way I kind of knew that Cindy would try to be the rock for everyone:box: ...so I looked and addressed most of the news to her. They all did a great job trying to shrug it off and we chenged the subject rather quickly to food and who was hungry. Walking down the hall I think that we all stayed pretty close together and everything. I didn't 'know' these people very well and I just told them probably the worst news they could imagine. Not only was Celine cancelling a show but she was actually sick this time... not 'just' allergies but something that sounded serious from what the press release had mentioned, and that obviousy wiped her out enough :e2thud: to cancel the largest amount of shows at a time since her father died. How else to improve the situation but than to be a goof ball and try to make a complete idiot of myself?:e2dance:

But I think that's about when I mentioned the gift basket idea-- shortly after breaking the news. Immediately everyone was for it. It was almost like it was an automaticity. "Something's wrong with our girl.... we do something to help." Like it wasn't even something to think about....something that was inevitable.

We headed over to Caesars Palace to get something to eat and we went to Cafe Lago over by the pool. In the mean time I counted Cindy's chickens as she called them and I guess for the time being we were both being mother hens. Cindy announced to the seating hostess that we needed room for "seven chickens" to which the lady did not appease us by repeating "chickens" after the number of us who would be seated.

We did the buffet and I don't know how but somehow we all got a tad goofy........

We sat back at the table and mentioned that we were Celine fans and the waitress brought over a little advetisement for Celine's show and we placed her in the vertical napkin holders. We continued to joke around and I 'fed' her some chocolate mousse cake which was to die for. I think I fed her some carrots as well.:Coffee:

Eventually we made her a microphone out of a straw and a little of it's wrapper. The pianist was playing Celine songs for us, very kindly.

In the mean time, the rest of the group were coming in from their Helicopter ride and agreed to meet us at the restaraunt. I guess they already received notice that something was not quiet right so when they showed up they must have been anxious to knew the news that they half-expected.

Fanny, Cindy and I and a little bit of Eg were being goofy. Mathias broke the news I think (but mostly, I think it was a group effort). I didn't understand a word because it was in Dutch but I figured that the best anecdote was to make people laugh and to be goofy.:Headbang:

We proceeded to leave and went up to where the ball rooms are for the events and conventions and I got, as you can imagine, really excited:hooray: taking like, 3 different countries' worth of people up there. I could just imagine 4100 people being there. It was just so convenient that there happened to be a banner that said "The 2006 Convention." A little teensy preview of the 2007 one to come.

In the mean time, before we arrived up there, actually, Fanny and Cindy and I were doing stupid human tricks on the escalators. Things such as running down an up escalator or sitting on the hand railings or, my personal favorite of the weekend, stretching out and taking 5 steps like Elf. (Don't worry... at this time of night it was really mostly just us.... no strangers to call security behind us).:e2bike2:

We took a couple of photos but not really with the entire group. They were sad, which was to be understood, and a bunch of them wanted to head back to the hotel. A few stayed behind and we went to go do some touristy things.

We headed over to the Mirage and went to see the volcano. I got everyone lost and then found again and we ended up at the volcano. We waited about an hour before it finally erupted.

It was there that I learned a new French word that I predict will make me laugh hysterially every time I hear her say the word in English from now on. It was brought to my attention that "GOD" in french, is something not so much religious as it is sexual:ROFL: . That's all I'll say. Alright so I'm not all that immature to crack up EVERY time. Just occasionally with Fanny.

We took some cute and goofy pictures, which I've yet to upload from my camera...and from others' as well. We all kind of joked around and then Fanny and I switched shoes. Well-- one each. She had one of her wedge sandals and one of my flat flip-flops and vice-versa. We looked soooo stylish, I'm telling you. :e2photo:

To make everyone laugh, I took my hat off and took out my hair and make it look absolutely dreadful. About that time some kids walked by and were promoting their rap album. One of them--no, a few of them-- ran their hands through my hair and commented that i washed it every day. It's pretty much true but...........what a funny comment to make. With how it looked I'm not sure how she came to that conclusion...maybe she was sarcastic? I dunno' but it was amusing. Never have I had a perfect stranger come rub their hands through my hair.:e2shrug:

Eventually the volcano DID erupt. Fanny and I stood the entire time pretending to b traumatized, making sobbing noises or false screams (not at my usual decible). And then we parted.

We walked Willemijn back to her hotel but I didn't put two and two together. I did notice everyone was hugging her and Cindy filled me in that she was not at the same hotel we were, so we were saying goodbye for the evening. I gave her a big long hug.... and surprisingly when I turned around Cindy was teary eyed. I hugged everyone after that.:e2grouphu Can't leave anyone out!

The rest of the walk back to the hotel was filled with spankings:e2moon: between Cindy, Fanny and I. Cindy made the quick observation "You're very touchy feely." Yes, I am! And no, not in a sexual way.

We arrived back to the Aladdin and I piled everyone into my car. We got lost several times trying to find a way into Fanny's hotel, as we were blasting Celine. I turned down the music to see which direction to turn and I hear them all yell "LAKE!" We were having too much fun driving with Celine blasting and singing:Guitar: with the windows down that we needed a fairly long detour. So we made one.

One the way we recorded "I Believe In You" and sang many others, and on the way back it was "The Power of Love."

SOOO much fun. We arrived to the lake and enjoyed the strip view at night, which is why I wanted to bring them down anyway and then I showed them the lake at night.

It was a little cold and thanfully I had a Celine blanket in my car and a large towell. Mathias took the towell, which was hot pink and burgandy, and Eg took the Celine Blanket. Cin had a sweatshirt and I had given Fanny my sweatshirt earlier that night, so I took a jeanjacket from my car and that's how we all settled the cold of the night.

We walked down to the lake and I showed them the dock where you rent boats and kayaks and stuff and then we headed under the bridge of the Ritz-Carlton. We made (quiet) animal sounds and everything which sounded really a lot louder than they were under the bridge, and that's where Cindy blew kisses towards the general direction of Celine's house. Keep in mind it's past midnight at this point. So there we were.... and Cindy's blowing kisses to Celine in the middle of the night. We joked about how Celine would feel it and wake up and complain and then the next day would have a bruise because Cindy had so much intent to get it to her.

We took a short walk up the street-- but it wasn't so short-- and it was very cold. We couldn't get a decent photograph of the strip from there, so we ended up walking all the way up there for nothing. We got back to the car and took photos from a different area.... and then I think that's when we all started getting tired :e2yawn: because we all got a little more quiet and the volume of the music was a little softer than before. Cindy dozed off for a little bit (I think my car has that effect on people-- Ramona fell asleep there, too on the same stretch of freeway).:e2zzz:

We finally were successful at dropping Fanny off at her hotel at about 2:45 AM and Cin, Eg, Mathias and I all arrived at the hotel room at about 3 AM. It was definitely a fun night.

We talked more while in bed about how things work out and how they were and everything. That was the first night I slept with my husband, Cindy. Before I even slept with my FIRST husband, Fanny! You see this confused love septagon?:e2smack:

We all slept so sound that we barely woke up to each other's movements or voices or phone calls in the middle of the 'night', which was actually morning.

More fun the next day!

The day began with instant conversation after waking up. We all figured out a system to shower and then most of the Dutchies headed outo to breakfast.

I was beginning to worry about Fanny because by the end of my shower, I was already running late to get her from downstairs. But she found her way up to the room and I (quickly as possible) finished getting ready. Fanny and I headed off one direction and Cindy and the others headed off to do their thing until 5 PM.

It was about 10:30 and Darryl's plane was getting in at about 2:30. Give or take, an hour for him to get settled in the room, get his baggage and arrive at the hotel.

Fanny and I headed over to Caesars and scheduled a manicure. It was surprisingly busy for a weekday and I took the only appointment that there was available-- at 4 PM.

We had chocolates with us... one for the manicurist and the other for a friend of mine at the Box Office.

We searched for a place to eat and, strangely, that day, the marketplace didn't seem to suit my fancy. We walked around the Forum Shops for some time and then decided to go for Chinois. We were immediately seated and ordered their wraps and also some sesame chicken. It was great. For dessert we finished off with some warm coconut rice pudding. GOD, it was heavenly!

In the mean time I saw someone that looked an AWFUL lot like Dave Platel eating at a table just a few in front of us. I couldn't help but glance over more than a few times, asking myself if it was him or not. I wasn't brave enough (probably a good thing) to ask, so it's quite probable that it was not. Usually if I have the certainty, I'll do it. I didn't have it. But, it seemed to me that it would make sense for him to be in town so close to the 500th show. None-the-less I joked around with Fanny quite a bit about what would happen should I have chosen to have asked. It was fun.

We saw a shirt in Yves Saint Laurent, I think it was...............No, no. It's that one that did that funky dress for J.Lo that got tons of hype a few years ago.....Cavalli, I think. Anyway the shirt just screamed "Celine" to me. Had I had thousands of dollars to spend, I might have purchased it for the gift basket.

Fanny and I took a photo of it eventually...we had intended to tell Celine to buy it for herself when she was feeling better and to have a photo of it in the basket but we never got around to developing the photos.

We headed over to the Aladdin again, and got some lotion for the basket for Celine. I wanted to include it in there because someone had advised me that Celine would probably enjoy it, so I took their word. I loved the product so if I could share it... by all means, I wanted to!

We were headed out and back over to Caesars when we ran accross the "Build-A Bear workshop" and we picked out the frog with the cutest face. You start off there with an empty body with only a stuffed head and perhaps stuffed paws..... and then the rest you create...and this one frog's face we just adored. We hid it so that later on we could all go back and create it for Celine. We had practically everything picked out before everyone got there... we knew everyone would love it!

That's about when we got the call from Darryl that he'd arrived and that he was checking into the hotel just then. We left Aladdin and headed BACK to Caesars and in between, had to call and ask Darryl what hotel room number he was in at least 5 times.

Finally we made a stop to the Box Office and dropped the chocolates to the friend, and then we headed on up to Darryl's room.

We greeted each other hello and caught up for a while and then eventually it was time for me to head to my manicure so we headed on down and Darryl agreed to take care of his own business while Fanny and I did the manicure thing.

It is always such a great time in there. I enjoy the lady so much. Funny, though, I saw that there was a problem with one of her clients. The lady hadn't even seen me walk in, though I noticed her right away, and somehow she ended up looking over and was surprised to see me there. It was really pretty funny. We had our usual chat and Fanny was there as well. It was fun. Very pleasant as usual.

We had texted the others to make sure that everyone was there so that we could all go make the frog but something happened so again it was just half of the group. We all did our best to pile into my car and we headed BACK over to Aladdin. We got out little froggie suit and started going at work.

It was Suus, Darryl, Fanny, Cindy, Mathias and I all in the store. We cradled Celine McFrog, who at the time didn't have a name, to the fluff machine and carefully chose 14 different hearts. There were three purple satin hearts that donated a dollar to autism research, and then 10 red satin hearts and one gingham striped/checkered one (which was mine). It just felt right. There were only 13 of us but since 13 is associated with bad luck we wanted to send Celine one more. We used the 14th heart as a group wish and noted, to ourselves that 4+1= 5. PERFECT!

We each kissed our chosen satin hearts and then made a wish on them while holding them close to our hearts, and then we shook them to get them started and everything. It's really a cute and thoughtful process!

The first thing we did, though, which we cannot over-look, was that we made our recording. All 6 of us gathered around a little round recording box and recorded us shouting "On T'Aime Celine!" We agreed that since we had three different languages and three different countries and only 10 seconds, we'd record in Celine's native tongue. The fifth time was the charm. It was perfect!

After we added fluff into the little frog, we washed her (scrubbed off all the extra cotton on her) and then picked out an outfit for her and dressed her in it. Then we made the birth certificate and had trouble with it-- though it did come out cute!

Cin and the others rushed off to a group dinner and Darryl, Fanny and I headed off to do our own little thing........

We wandered for a bit and eventually decided that we were hungry. Nowhere in Caesars suited our apetites so then we headed in a completely complicated direction which I accidentally lead. We went through the Forum shops and then I began heading towards the Bellagio, which was completelythe opposite of the direction I'd intended going.

We eventually ended up at the Venetian at a restaraunt with very tasty food. I don't remember what Fanny or what Darryl got but I do know that they were ready before me. I ended up getting some barbecue beef cooked in bananna leaves with some green rice and black beans. Gosh, it was yummy. I also had a virgin pina collada... among the best I've ever had. And it was in an actual coconut! Fany schmancy.

Even the water was in a glass bottle which was very neat looking. I should have kept it. Fanny and I kept making fun of ourselves because we had been thinking of something sad so we were chugging our water. I actually started laughing so hard that water did come out of my nose. We raced down the little moving walk-ways and everything. Fun fun.

Darryl usually just keeps to himself and observes but he did a good amount of talking. It was nice. Yes, we did, believe it or not, get serious at some times.

I don't really remember but I think it ended up being a fairly early night. Not like 3 AM. Fanny, Darryl and I all headed to bed at a semi-reasonable hour but Cindy and those guys ended up getting back later. Closer to 2 AM again.

More later.... after Fanny gets back and posts pictures!

Fanny was being a bit quiet, which is probably why I wasn't as quiet as usual. I think I bugged her too much about hearing her accent all these months!

Fanny was being a bit quiet, which is probably why I wasn't as quiet as usual. I think I bugged her too much about hearing her accent all these months!

:hi:
Nooo, bugged by Marisa who couldn't help making fun of me! lol. And actually, it was not the reason why I was quiet.

Marisa, water came out of your nose, and don't forget that I actually... well.. the water came out of my mouth! :D I love your reviews. It reminds me so much of those great memories! I miss you!
