View Full Version : Alphabet game - Christian style

Puddle Jumper

The game is simple. I'll start with the letter a and choose a word that has something to do with Christianity. It can be anything from the Bible like a name or a place, word describing God, or just a word. Then the next person will use the letter b, then after them the letter c and so on.

When we reach the end of the alpahbet we start over at the beginning again. The only rule I ask is that you wait for someone else to post before posting again, thus making it a game.

I'll start...

A is for Adam

Okay, I messed up the game! I didn't go to the second page and responded at the end of the first page. What a dufus I am! Please forgive my "y is for yoke" which offers some evidence that we Inspiredwriters think alike.

How's this:

L is for laughter (think Sarah and Abraham when Sarah heard she would be "with child")

I'm laughing with me, not at me. Thanks for doing the same.

I think we are on X and you responded to an earlier page (unless you are just trying to avoid X!). I'll attempt a backtrack to X...

X is for Xainctonge

Anne de Xainctonge was the Catholic foundress of an uncloistered order of women that opened public schools for girls in the early 1600's.

D comes after C (and Z after G - don't know what board I was reading...)

so, D is for Delight - Delight yourself in the Lord.

Sass, it makes me sad that Christians have made such a bad impression on you that the only thing that came to your mind was something perpetuated by ungodly men that definitely did not bring glory to God. Christians over the ages have done so many things to bring dishonor to God's name. The Inquisition was just one of them. Sad.

But let's try to stick to words that glorify God or (are taken from the Bible).

How about Incomparable?

I suppose I should stay out of the Christian forum even when it has interesting stuff but if you're here, they must be selling gallery seats to the nondevout.
