How does this relate to writing? Well, it doesn't really. However, I mailed off a partial from my latest manuscript four hours before going into labor. I was determined to wrap things up (queries, synopsis, etc.) before the birth.

At any rate, please meet our first baby, Sadie Wilhelmina. Yes, inspired by Mina Harker from DRACULA/LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN (the graphic novels, not the movie). I popped her out after 6 1/2 hours of medication-free labor. At birth, she was 8 lbs. 4 oz.

Woohoo! Congrats! You beat me by three hours, but my last one was unmedicated and 8lbs4oz. And I love her name. That's just great. Take care, she's lovely!

Now that's the kind of motivation I can wrap my arms around

Hmmm, out pops a full-blown work of wondrous art. That's cheating, girl.

Congratulations clara! She's beautiful! :)

I just love big babies -- mine was 8lbs 14 oz (also a med-free delivery), and she slept through the night at 6 weeks. Have fun with her, she'll be in college before you know it. :)

Completed project? Yeah (and good job!), but look again and she's a wonderful opening to an amazing story to come. Congratulations.

What a cutey! My wife has our fourth scheduled for release in May, and will probably pop out as quickly. Enjoy her.

BTW- this is an odd inquery but to all of you who have children, anyone notice how their babies smelled after popping out of the oven. Just before going into labor with our second son my wife ate popcorn and the little rascal came out smelling like we just scooped him out of the bin at the theaters. It was a kick.
