Hi,

Has anyone used crowd funding to generate a marketing budget or a method to promote there book?

It seems a great way but I'm quite new to the concept.

There are quite a few existing threads on this topic:

I have no experience with it myself, aside from backing a few projects, but it seems like the most successful are those with a built-in fanbase.

With the greatest respect, going by your posts and questions, I don't think you are anywhere near being able to justify or expect crowd funding.

Putting "with the greatest respect" in front of that sentence did not negate it being a jerk thing to say.

Okay. The OP's question has been referred to several other threads full of information, and there's no point in carrying on here.

Snowpea, when you feel a post is out of line, please use the "report this post" button, which is the one in the little red triangle.

I'm closing this thread.
