"women's fiction is a story that centers on a woman or on women's issues, not necessarily the romantic relationship books I do." (Nora Roberts)
I'm editing my first draft. It's women's fiction, with a romantic subplot.
The problem is that the main plot is written in a literary/mainstream style and the romantic subplot in a... chick-lit style.
Ouch.
Chick-lit is the only kind of romance that I read: but it's the wrong style for my story. Could you suggest me some well written, contemporary romance? Or some well written novel with a romantic subplot? I will then do my homework.
Thank you.
