One of the most infamous serial killers in U.S. history has died. Robert Hansen, a prize-winning big-game trophy hunter who abducted women, flew them to remote localities in the Alaska wilderness, stripped them naked, turned them loose, and hunted them down, has died of natural causes at 75:

This dude gets way high on the list of evil people of our lifetimes, ranking alongside Ted Bundy, John Gacy, Christopher Wilder and Dennis Rader as "worst of the worst." He was only convicted of four murders, but confessed to 17, total, and had a map in his house with pins stuck in it that showed the localities of those bodies, and numerous other localities where nothing was found. No reason exists for those extra pins, but almost everybody thinks he killed many more women. That he's no longer breathing is a good thing, IMO.

He grew up in my hometown in the Midwest.
