Things I Hate About August:

1. The horrible, horrible humidity

2. The school buses are back on the road

3. I won't be able to find any decent tomatoes in a coupla weeks

My air conditioner is enjoying its annual inability to cool the house below 80.

It's too uncomfortable to weed, so they're taking over and will achieve world domination by mid-September.

It's still a whole month until I can get decent apples that weren't shipped from the other side of the world or set aside last October.

crepe mrytle is still out there, not looking well but pollen flinging like mad.

windows are steamed up, wet is on the outside, which, I suppose is better than on the inside. Glasses fog up when going outside. On second thought that's okay too, 'cause I remember back when Augusts when they didn't 'cause we didn't have a/c.

So I guess the main thing I hate is the crepe myrtle pollen.

Typing I haz it again :snoopy: spelling not so much.

I too love August. We got bunches of lovely rain yesterday and today. And since we're in a desert, that is awesome.
