I've tried and I've scrunched, but my query letter is a few sentences over one page lone. Question- is this okay? Also, how does one format the second page?

A few sentences over generally hurts nothing. I'd also include the first two or three pages of your novel to get the agent hooked.

Un-scrunch it so it runs a page and a quarter to a page and a half. Leave more room at the top for the agent’s full address, double space between paragraphs, bring in the margins a bit. A squeezed look is a definite turn-off.
