How many years were you writing before you made 2k or over from writing in one year?

Kind of a specific question I'll grant you, but still

as 'marking' points, stepping point etc go, it's something to go on.

Me, 16 years.

(I'm talking fiction writing here, including plays, poetry, prose of any kind.)

ROFL! Got my first rejection letter in 1974 and still have not made more than $150 any given year with writing. I was estatic the first time I hit the 3 digit mark. ;)

Op, I'm curious why you wanted to know about the $2K benchmark. I wouldn't say $2K a year is a hallmark of success.

Hmmm...

Wrote my first book at age 9.
I'm now 43.
Still haven't broken 3 digits pro pay.

So, 34 years and counting?

Main thing is you're still counting.
