Hi everyone! After a bad encounter with an agent a few years ago (which AWers saved me from), I've been admittedly slow to trust my new agent. But she has tirelessly gone above and beyond for me, and I want her to know how much I appreciate it. She has completely transformed my creative life.

Is it appropriate to give a bonus to your agent?

Thanks

Yeah, never heard of a financial bonus, but a gift would be really nice gesture. I've heard of writers sending agents gifts after big sales, book-related things (for example, steampunky things if it's a steampunk book) or even just sending flowers to the office.

Agreed---never heard of giving an agent a monetary bonus, but non-monetary tokens of appreciation would be okay. For instance, a cookie basket would be a great office gift.
