Everyone has some! I want to know what your quirky hidden talents are.

1.) I can say the United States in alphabetical order, really fast (and even occasionally really drunk - I have a friend that asks me to do this to shock newcomers at the joint we hang out in.)
2.) I have a ridiculously good memory for movies and can do a "6 degrees of separation to Kevin Bacon" all the way back to people like Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, Bogart, and even Ernest Borgnine. someone asked me to take them 6 degrees from Trevor Howard and I managed that as well. Lucille Ball, Bob Hope...the list goes on and on. This serves no real purpose...its a freakish little thing I picked up.
3.) I can pick things up with my toes. (i have perfected this since having children. I can pick up laundry with my feet and not have to bend over holding a sleeping baby - quite handy!)

So those are mine! I want to hear yours!

Among the chocolate fairies:)
Really great question, Stew and so are your talents. Mine are:

l) I can bend two of my fingers and make that clicking noise.
2) I can separate my fingers like Mr. Spock does.:)
3) I can eat lots of chocolate. (that's not so hidden):)
4) I was tested at typing 105 wpm in my younger days.

That's about it.

Getting closer to where I want to be...
Hmmm, well, I can pick up things with my toes as well. I also have a movie one. I can pretty much tell you the actors and the plot of any movie. Even if I haven't seen it. (Doesn't say much for the state of movies these days, does it?)
I'm also pretty good at imitating voices.

I can make a nice round popping noise when I slap my palm across my open mouth. In school, we called these: "stoopid human tricks."

Hidden talents. Hmmmm....

Listening to two or more people who are talking at same time and being able to respond to each of them.
Knowing where the chocolate is at all times.:D
Not much of a cook but a great baker (esp. chocolate desserts).
Looking calm even when a storm is brewing inside of me. Which isn't too often.

I can bend the last joint of my fingers (the one closest to the nail) without bending any of the others. It's not too handy except for scaring kids, up to about 3rd grade.

Even when I smoked, I could smell a dirty diaper at an astonishing distance. The fact that my kids are in college just means I now know when other people's babies need a change. I tried to hide this talent in order to get Mr. Maryn to do some of the dirty jobs.

I can turn my eyelids inside out and do this grimace thing that makes the tendons on my neck stand out sharply, which I then proceed to pluck like harp strings. This creeps kids out at least to the age of 21 years and 3 months...

Maryn, terribly, terribly attractive

I too can pick things up with my toes. I didn't realize that I was so ambidexterous until I was 13 months pregnant, holding a cranky toddler, a diaper bag and dropped my purse. Toes - they are useful appendages.

My other hidden talent is that I can whistle so loud, so long and so shrill, that the dogs on two continents come running when they hear it. This also works to encourage children to come home from anywhere in the neighbourhood when I call them once. If they don't, I start to whistle...

A wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagi
I can smell the scent of newly fallen snow.

I can move my eyes independently, horizontally but not vertically, nor can I diverge them.

I have an uncanny memory for advertising jingles:

(Bossa-Nova intro)

Meet the Swinger, the Polaroid Swinger! Meet the Swinger, the Polaroid Swinger!

It's more than a camera, it's almost alive, for only nineteen dollars and ninety-five!

Swing it up! (Yeah, yeah!) It says "Yes"! (Yeah, yeah!)
Take the shot! (Yeah, yeah!) Count it down! (Yeah, yeah!) Zip it off!

(Percussion interlude)

Meet the Swinger! The Polaroid Swinger! Meet the Swinger! The Polaroid Swinger! (fade out)

Let's see.

1.) I can imitate the call of a peregrine falcon.
2.) I can walk around town for about an hour or longer with a 25lb 2 year old sitting on my shoulders (though I think that's more endurance than talent).
3.) I use to draw the Teenage Ninja Turtles quite well. (well, my cousin thought it was cool.)
4.) I have extensive knowledge of ghost phenomena

1. Fairly fluent in American Sign Language
2. Knitting and crocheting
3. Doing a weird thing with my tongue that I call "Belly dancing." Sort-of an undulating motion that's hard to describe, but it tends to freak people out.

I'm not quite sure why I admitted to #3...

I can tape all your buttcheeks together (that's for all you movie-experts).

I can carry on conversations using nothing but movie quotes.

I can sing pretty much any hard rock song from the 70's/80's really bad and really loud after a sufficient quantity of Guiness has passed between my lips.

Put them all together and...hey, who wants to go drinkin' with me?!?

Rob :)

On a fig tree, presumably
I used to draw well. I'm out of practice now, though.

The nerves in my mouth are so good at their job that I can always tell which cusp of a tooth the dentist is working on, despite anesthesia. This comes to mind because I've had a lot of dentistry recently. Last week, after a shot, I told the dentist it felt like she'd hit bone with the needle. She had. It's a curse.

Cool. I still draw and I am also out of practice.

I have the same problem with the dentist.

Are we related somehow?

I'm a wealth of useless trivial information, and I'm hoping to someday trounce my enemies on Jeopardy.

I can sew beautifully, and I also am pretty good at painting and drawing.

I used to be able to pick up things with my toes, but then I had bunion surgery so now I can't anymore.

I can do this weird thing with my mouth that makes it look like I actually have three really big lips.

Oh, and my elbows are double jointed so I can turn my arms all the way around.

:::sigh:::

I feel pretty.

I used to know all the Austin Powers trivia, but I forgot it.

Now I know everything about Napoleon Dynamite.

(These are very well paying skills, BTW.)

I can draw anything in CAD.

I can work in a tobacco barn (you "hold on" with just your feet).

I can grow a good ripe tomato by Memorial Day.

I can put an animal to sleep myself (when it's a "have to" case).

I can almost play the flute. I can almost play the guitar.

I can identify any native tree on sight.

I can go to sleep anywhere.

I can go to the dentist and have anything done and care not a wit about the pain (hey, I grew up with an older brother, I got used to pain).
