Goal -- first draft by June

So this year my goal is to finish a novel by the end of the year. Where "finish" means "written, edited, re-edited, ... and ready for submission".

Step 1: a first draft. I started end of January, aiming for 90K words, and as of today I am at 52.5K. Given an expectedly word-light March as I had two short stories due then, I reckon I am about on target.

Posting here to keep myself accountable. I've been doing OK so far by myself but am experimenting to see if a more public commitment helps keep things motoring as I plough through the Tough Middle Bit

57K words now. Mostly from 5-600 word days (about what I can manage during the kid's nap), and one 2K day. Definitely slower going now than it was when I was banging through the beginning parts!
