Just passed my 25th novel over to my wife for a final proof read before submitting it.

I've been writing since '91, but only finished my first novel in '98, so 25 novels in a wee bit over 15 years. Wonder how long I can keep this average up before senility sets in :-)

Sat Nam! (Literally "Truth Name"--a Sikh greeting)

That's amazing! May you write (and sell) many more!

Blessings,

That dedication is amazing and inspiring. Keep it up!
25 novels in 15 years... incredible. Good on you, showing it's not impossible to the rest of us.

If I didn't follow you here or on Twitter, I would've assumed that was a typo and you meant 2.5th novel. Twenty-five is simply amazing. Please keep it up.

My ideas file is still brimming so I've got a few more in me yet. As I say, age might be the limiting factor. I'm 56 now, and aware that I'm aging. I can't see myself ever retiring as such, but slowing down considerably is certainly a possibility.

Only 56?

Some day you're going to look back and say omg, I was only 56 when I completed my 25th novel.

Wow, that's a serious body of work. I'm quite impressed. Congratulations on this milestone.

BTW, do you write quickly? (Umm, that seems like a stupid question now. Obviously you do.) ((Although now that I've read your FAQs, you say you write slowly, but quite consistently.))

Edit as you go or later?

I've looked at your website before but I'm off for another peek.

I edit as I go, and I average 1500 words a day - that's every day, so over a year it's over 1/2 million words. Last year that was a novel, five novellas and 30 something short stories.
