So a fellow AWer suggested I should perhaps post this link in here. She seems smarter than me, so I'm following her advice ;)

I was solicited to write a guest post by a sports news/blogging site after one of their editors saw me being opinionated on a friend's facebook page. They asked, I obliged, it got published, and they liked it enough to ask me to pitch more ideas to them. Yay! I pitched a second one, they accepted and I'm now writing that too.

No money changes hands, but I quite like sports-related blogging, and it's all good practice, right?

Bats, a publishing credit is a publishing credit--and that somebody wants what you write is so very validating, the no-money aspect doesn't matter. (Unless you're knocking yourself out to do this stuff.)

Good for you!

Maryn, pleased

Thanks everyone!

It does feel like a nice validation of my non-fiction writing, and I'm pleased you agree it is indeed a publishing credit. :)
