Been digging around AW (and Google), looking for a book reviewer resource. A list of reviewers, their contact info, their preferred genre, where they typically post their reviews--are they a paid critic, an up-and-coming voice...son of H.L. Mencken?

Does such a resource exist? I'd like to submit my self-published novel for review but having trouble getting started. It's probably right under my nose.

I think you've asked the $64,000 dollar question. One would think with the explosion of self-publishers there would be a corresponding explosion of reviewers looking at those books. But it appears the opposite is happening--more and more venues seem to be declining to review self-published books.

It could be that the overload makes it too hard to find books the reviewer is interested in putting in the time to review; it could be the bad behavior of a subset of authors has put reviewers off; it could be anomalous weather conditions and pending signs of the apocalypse. Who knows?

But if you find a list of good, reputable reviewers with substantial pull/readership who are into finding good self-published books to review please let us all know!

Could be. There are so many other forms of entertainment, maybe it's a reader's market now. And with free self-publishing options, the slush pile has gone public. I know I've contributed my share.

I thought you meant a forum where review writers could discuss issues related to being reviewers. That would be nice. Review writing is a form of writing.

IMHO an exhaustive list of all reviewers would be a book in it's own right. I think it makes more sense to break it down a bit. That also encourages targeted requests rather than the shotgun emails I tend to get in pretty high volume.
