Great story! I'm afraid to ask but I think your MC is probably the killer. I bit chilling but very well written. Congrats on publication.

ishtar'sgate: I really like to explore those gray areas of morality in my writing. I think it's fun to see where folks go when faced with certain tough decisions.

Congratulations on a great story, and terrific read! It held my interest all the way through. Love the descriptions of the house; kind of haunting, in a way. Even a short-story getting published is as exciting as a novel getting published. Keep it up! I'm sure this is the first of many to come.

SPOILER ALERT:

I too wondered if Detective Brown was the one abducting the girls, or if there was a serial kidnapper after blue-eyed girls and Brown was investigating them all. I liked the ending being vague that way, though.
